“I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions”
Joshua 14:7 (NIV)
If you are going to have your vision fulfilled, you must have conviction. The words in our opening scripture were the words spoken by Caleb one of the leaders of Israel that went out to spy the land of Canaan. When he came back from spying the land he already saw the victory because he had convictions and faith in God.
Faith is being convinced that what God has spoken will come to pass. Faith is a deep rooted conviction based on God's integrity (God cannot lie), ability (God can do what He says), credibility (God's faithfulness), charity (God's love) and perpetuity (God's track record). Faith requires these five things.
Do you have faith in the vision that God has shown to you? Are you convinced that it will come to pass? Martin Luther King Jr. had convictions and he told them what he saw. He showed them the America of his dream with his words and today that dream is happening in America as we see Black people getting into more influential positions.
Look at the words of Caleb in Numbers 13:30 expressing his conviction in the Word of God and the fulfilment of His promise, “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” That is the kind of conviction you need to have to see your vision come to pass.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You for your faithfulness towards me being convinced that every good Word you have spoken concerning me is coming to pass unhindered, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
