“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 (NKJV).
God's words to Joshua in our opening scripture shows us that we are responsible for where we are. He told Joshua, “For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
If you will not take responsibility for where you are, you will not succeed. Every failure will blame the circumstances surrounding their birth as the reason for their failure. That is an excuse for failure. Stop giving excuses. Failures give excuses but successful people take responsibility for their success by being diligent.
I once met a man who told me how he literally trained himself through school. From Primary to Secondary to his first degree, to masters and now he has his ICAN. He didn't have anyone to train him but he took responsibility for his success.
Proverbs 10:4 (NKJV) says, “He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.” I encourage you to become diligent by taking responsibility for your success.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I believe I receive wisdom, understanding, knowledge and the grace for diligence and greater effectiveness in all I lay my hands to do for greater productivity, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
