Mental Prosperity 1

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2.

Mental prosperity is soundness of mind. If your mind is not at peace, you are not enjoying mental prosperity. If you are always worrying and your mind is always full of fear, you lack mental prosperity.

When you are able to discern the different phases of God's will and are able to move from the good and acceptable to the perfect will of God, that is mental prosperity. Mental prosperity for you as a Christian is important because there are certain things God will not trust you with until you grow spiritually and mentally.

Do you know that there are adults who still think like children? If you are that way, you are not prospering mentally. This is why the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:20 (NIV), “Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.”

Do you know that over fifty percent of your subconscious mind and values have been established since you were five years old? So most of the instinctive reactions we have as individuals were stored in us as children, so we grew up with them. This is why when you see a full grown man sit on the floor and cry because he lost his job, he is behaving like a child because it is children who sit on the floor to cry. That challenge brought out the five year old in him.

Are you selfish? Then you need to stop thinking like a child because it is children that are selfish. There are people who are married who cannot share with their spouse, they are thinking like children. Therefore, if you know any area you are still thinking like a child, I encourage you to upgrade your mind with the Word of God, practice what the Bible teaches and intentionally put away childish things.
