In continuation of our study on why people commit suicide, we will be looking at another causative factor which is a sudden shock, loss or trauma.
Sometimes when people experience a sudden loss or trauma they become suicidal if they lack mental prosperity. For instance a business man just loses up to twenty-six million naira suddenly. He may become suicidal since he has put his faith in money and not in God. Where is your hope and your faith? Is it in God or in money? If your faith is in money you will become hopeless the moment you experience any sudden loss in your finances.
The man or woman who is mentally prosperous puts his or her faith in God and as a result even if they experience any sudden loss, they know that God is a restorer. As a result, he always has hope because the promise of restoration gives hope.
I want you to know that you are not who you are because of what you have or what you have not done. Let your confidence be solely in the love of God towards you. If you err, know that God is always willing to forgive you. No matter what you have done or what you have not done you can receive forgiveness from God today. Never lose your hope and confidence in the love of God towards you.
