God rewards love.

“Why should God reward you if you love only the people who love you? Even the tax collectors do that!” Matthew 5:46(GNB)

From our opening scripture today, we see that if we only love those who love us alone, we would have no reward from God for those acts of love shown.

Do you only show love to your wife when she is obeying you and doing what you want her to do? Do you love your husband only when he is pleasing you? If your answer to those questions is yes, it means you will have no reward from God for your acts of love. This means that when you demonstrate unconditional love to your wife, your husband, your children, your friends, etc. you will surely receive a reward from God for those acts of unconditional love.

It is important you know that true love always goes the extra mile. The Bible says in Luke 6:35-36(GNB) “"If you love only the people who love you, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners do that! And if you lend only to those from whom you hope to get it back, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount! No! Love your enemies and do good to them; lend and expect nothing back. You will then have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God. For he is good to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful just as your Father is merciful.”

Always remember that you have a great reward as you choose to walk in love.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you expose every seed of falsehood that has entered into my belief system concerning love, and I commit to go the extra mile in my love for others by the working of your grace in me in Jesus Name. Amen.
