Entering the Kingdom

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10(KJV)

In this month's devotional, we have seen that in the world today, there is a clash of kingdoms. There is a kingdom of darkness where satan rules and reigns, and there is also a kingdom of light, which is also called the kingdom of His dear Son, or the kingdom of God. We also learnt that every kingdom takes on the character of her king.

So, since our main focus is the kingdom of God, it is important we know how to enter into the kingdom of God. This is because the unbeliever is in the kingdom of darkness whether he knows it or not. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:8, “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” This shows us that the unbeliever who is in the kingdom of darkness takes on the character of satan; so he is darkness, while the believer who is in the kingdom of light takes on the character of God; so he is light in the Lord.

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” This means that we were formally in darkness, but we were called out of darkness into His marvellous light. So how do you enter into the kingdom of light? Jesus said in Matthew 18:3, “… Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” This shows you that the new birth is your access into the kingdom of heaven. In other words, the new birth or being born again is your access into the kingdom of light.

Therefore if you know someone that is not born again, bring the gospel to them and encourage them to pray the prayer of salvation today as they surrender their hearts to Christ. As they do, you are invading the kingdom of darkness and increasing the influence of the kingdom of God in the earth.

You and your thought

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: …”
Isaiah 55:7(KJV)

Your life right now is a reflection of your current way of thinking. This is because the way you think is what determines the way you live. Your way of living is an expression of your way of thinking.

The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: …” This means that until you change your thinking, you cannot change your living. Your character is the sum total of your personality, and your personality is a reflection of your most dominant thoughts. This is why it is important for you to get to the Word of God and let it shape your thinking.

Matthew 12:35 says, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” This means that the quality of your life is a reflection of the quality of your thoughts. So you would agree with me that your thoughts decides from the outset the outcome of your life. This means that you can know from the beginning how your life will turn out, by the quality of thoughts you are allowing to govern your mind right now.

Therefore cultivate the kingdom practice of filling your mind with the good treasure of the Word of God and meditating on the Word of God day and night. If you do, the Bible shows you what your life will be like in Psalm 1:3 which says, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

INSTRUCTION
Ask the Lord to expose every seed of falsehood that have entered into your belief system and then turn from it.

Kingdom enforcers

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,”
Matthew 28:19(KJV)

The Church has been given the responsibility to enforce the kingdom of God in the earth. What does it mean to enforce? To enforce means to make a law or rule active or effective.  Secondly, to enforce is to make sure people do what is required by the law. Also to enforce is to make something happen.

From the above, it means that the Church ought to take the elements and principles of the kingdom of God and get them into the affairs of men. We have a responsibility to see that the culture of our kingdom spreads.

This is why we teach that it is wrong for a married man to sleep with a woman outside of his marriage, because it is against kingdom culture, the Bible calls it adultery so he has to stop it. We also teach that it is wrong for someone to sleep with anyone outside of marriage, the Bible calls it fornication and it is against kingdom culture. The Bible says in 1Corinthians 6:13, “…Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.” Therefore, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “…your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. ”

Taking anything that is not yours either by deceit, secretly or by force is wrong, the Bible calls it stealing and it is against kingdom culture. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:28, “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.” Therefore, the Bible says in Colossians 3:17, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for you are at work in me both to will and to do of your good pleasure always in Jesus Name.

Love is your nature

“… the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”                Romans 5:5(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that everyone who has received the Holy Spirit has the capacity to love. So you cannot be a Christian and not have love because love has already been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit that is in you. Also the Bible says in 1 John 4:8 that “… God is love.” So if God is love and we are born of God it therefore means that we are born of love. This means that love is in you because love is the nature of God, and if you have eternal life which is the nature of God that means you have love inside of you.

Now that you have this understanding that you have the love of God in you, 1 John 4:17 says, “But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” So we see that another proof of love is sharing and caring. This means that wherever there is love, there will be sharing and caring.

1 John 3:18 says, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” This shows us that the proof of love is action. So if there is no act of love shown; in terms of people sacrificing for one another or people sharing and caring for one another, it means that there is no love.

In Galatians 5:6b the Bible lets us know that faith works by love. So the selfless love walk will release your faith, and you can never love beyond your level of faith, so the measure of generosity you express is the determinant of the measure of faith you possess.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am full of love because the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost that is in me. I share with others and I care for others because I have the nature of God and the Spirit of love at work in me.

You owe love

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” John 15:12-14(KJV)

From our opening scripture, Jesus is saying to us that your love walk is a proof of your intimacy with Him. So if you want to know someone that is intimate with Christ, use their love walk. This means that if you want to know someone that really loves Jesus, look at the way he loves other Christians.

The question I will like to ask you today is this; how do you treat other Christians? The Bible says in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” So Jesus is saying that the proof of love is self sacrifice. So if you claim to love Jesus you should be willing to sacrifice of yourself for Him.

1 John 3:14-16 says, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” This shows us again that our love for one another is proven by self sacrifice. So if we are not sacrificing for one another, it means that we are not walking in love with each another.

1 John 3:16 says, “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” This shows us that our love walk is an obligation we owe to one another. Therefore, owe no man nothing but to love him  Romans 13:8.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you cause me to increase and abound in love towards my brethren in Christ and towards all men in Jesus Name. Amen.

Impacting the Culture

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, …” Matthew 28:19(KJV)

Today I want you to understand that we are called both as a church and as individuals to perpetuate kingdom culture. Jesus says to us in our opening scripture to go and teach all nations. The word nations means people groups, in other words He is referring to people of the same race, tribe, or habits. You will notice if you observe people that are from the same culture that they always have similar habits. For instance you may observe that certain cultures are very respectful and certain cultures are not, etc.

What is culture? One of the simplest definition of  culture is; the way of thinking, talking, behaving, or acting in an organization, business or society. It includes the beliefs, aspirations and dreams of a people.

Jesus has called us to go into the world and disciple people of all races and tribes; in other words we have been called to impact the culture of all people groups in our world today by perpetuating kingdom practices or culture.

Jesus shows us how to perpetuate kingdom culture in Matthew 28:20 where He said, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: …” This means that one of the ways we perpetuate kingdom culture is through the teaching of the Word of God.

Through the teaching of the Word of God, we are able to reshape their thinking to be in conformity to the Word of God. When their thinking is in conformity with the Word of God, they will begin to talk and act in line with the Word of God. By so doing we are impacting the culture by changing the way people think, because as a man thinketh in his heart so is he  Proverbs 23:7a.

Be consecrated to God

“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”
John 7:17(KJV)

Our opening scripture today lets us know that your consecration to the will of God will enhance your discernment. If you are a man or woman consecrated to God, you will always find it easy to hear from God because of your willingness to do His will.

Your consecration would enhance your ability to receive revelation from God's Word. Come to that place in your life where it is only God and doing His will that means everything to you. When you make that decision to walk with God at that level of consecration, He becomes more important to you than anyone and anything.

The problems a lot of Christians are having would be solved quicker if only they choose God's way of consecration to God's will for their lives. But the struggle continues in the lives of many because they want to go in their own way, and would not submit themselves to going God's way.

What do you really want God to do in your life and through your life? Do you covet the best gifts and a greater anointing? Then you must be separated and consecrated to God and His will. Jesus said in John 5:30, “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” This must also become your obsession if you want to live an exceptional life.

CONFESSION
Dear Father I choose to consecrate my life to doing Your will and to fulfill Your purpose for me even as I am daily been empowered by your grace in Jesus Name. Amen.

Kingdom conduct 2

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”    Ephesians 5:8(KJV)

The Bible tells us in our opening scripture today to walk as children of light. Live your life conscious of this truth and let it guide you in the way you live your life and in the decisions you make. Ephesians 5:9-11 tells us more, “(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

As citizens of the kingdom there is a way we ought to behave ourselves. This is because there are ways you will conduct yourself that will hinder your effectiveness as a Christian. The Bible says to us in 1Corinthians 6:9-11(GNB), “Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God's Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral or who worship idols or are adulterers or homosexual perverts or who steal or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander others or are thieves---none of these will possess God's Kingdom. Some of you were like that. But you have been purified from sin; you have been dedicated to God; you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

Child of God, you do not need to struggle to practice kingdom conduct, all you need to do is to fill your mind with your true identity and 1 Corinthians 6:11(GNB) shows you that, “…you have been purified from sin; you have been dedicated to God; you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” That should be your consciousness in your daily walk.

PRAYER
Dear Father I receive grace today to continually practice kingdom conduct. I thank you Father for I am empowered by your Spirit to express Your virtues and divine excellence in my daily walk in Jesus Name. Amen.

Kingdom conduct 1

“For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”
Ephesians 5:5(ASV)

Our opening scripture lets us know that you cannot live like the world and expect to be a partaker of the inheritance in the kingdom of God. This is why it is important for you to know how to conduct yourself as a child of the kingdom, so that you will not be deceived by any wrong teaching or that which the Bible calls the doctrine of Balaam, of which the Lord Jesus spoke about in Revelation 2:14 saying, “But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.”

The Bible says in Ephesians 5:3 saying, “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;” He tells us why in Ephesians 5:6 saying, “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. ”

This shows us that if you are born again and you continue to live like the world and engage in these things, you will reap what happens to the disobedient because of your lifestyle.

The Bible says in Galatians 6:7-8, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Therefore I encourage you child of God, sow to the Spirit and uphold kingdom conduct and your whole being will be flooded with life.

PRAYER
Dear Father I present my body to You as a living sacrifice, pure and holy as my reasonable service. Thank you Father for I know that you are able to sanctify me completely; such that my whole spirit, soul and body will be preserved blameless until the day of Jesus Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Prioritize the Kingdom

“And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”
Mark10:29-30(KJV)

Our opening scripture are the words of Jesus to us stressing the importance of prioritizing the gospel of the kingdom. The Lord Jesus who is the Head of the kingdom of God assures you that whatever you sacrifice to see that the gospel of the kingdom is preached,  you will receive a hundredfold in this world. See Luke 18:29-30.

This means that there is nothing that you sacrifice for the spread of the gospel of the kingdom that will ever be a loss to you. Soul winning is the Father's priority and that is why Jesus made preaching the gospel of the kingdom His priority. Jesus said in John 4:34-36, “… My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: …”

Jesus said in John 4:36, “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: …” This means that whenever you win souls God rewards you, that is how much God prioritizes soul winning. Therefore I encourage you to prioritize the kingdom because prioritizing the kingdom is the key to having all your needs met. This is why the Bible says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

INSTRUCTION
Rededicate yourself to your call and to doing God's will for your life no matter the cost.

Preach the gospel

“But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:”
Acts 8:9(KJV)

Our opening scripture tells us about a man named Simon who brought the entire Samaria under his control through sorcery; in other words through witchcraft. So if we are going to change the culture of the time, then we must realize that most of the practices of our day are from another kingdom.

When the whole of Samaria was bewitched by Simon they did not know that they were under a spell, in the same way today, there are many things that people are doing without knowing that what they are practicing is from hell. 1 John 5:19 says, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

This is why you have to understand that evangelism and missions is a kingdom thing, so when we go out to evangelize such communities that are bewitched in this way, we are actually carrying out spiritual warfare and invading such kingdoms so that we can reclaim that territory and her people from satan for Christ and the kingdom of God.

Therefore know that one of the armour we use in kingdom invasion is for your feet to be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace -  See Ephesians 6:15. This is because through the preaching of the gospel we take territories, so I encourage you to get involved with the preaching of the gospel today because as you do and souls are saved, we are reclaiming new territories and lost territories for the kingdom of God.

PRAYER
Dear Father it is your will that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth, therefore I ask that as the gospel of Jesus is been preached today, it shall be effective in reaching the lost in Jesus Name. Amen.

You are Light

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”
1 John 1:5(KJV)

In studying about kingdoms, you will discover that every kingdom takes on the character of her king, so when you look at the kingdom of God, our opening scripture reveals to us that God is light. If God is light it means that we ought not to walk in darkness as sons and daughters of the kingdom.

The Bible says in 1 John 1:6-7, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

1 Peter 2:9 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” Ephesians 5:8 says, “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” This clearly shows us  that every kingdom takes on the character of her king, this is why the Bible calls those who are in the kingdom of darkness, darkness, then He calls those in the kingdom of light, light. So now we are light in the Lord because we are in the kingdom of God.

Therefore I encourage you to walk as children of light. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar person; that I should show forth the praises of him who hath called me out of darkness into His marvellous light. Amen

The identity of Jesus

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6(KJV)

Our opening scripture is a prophecy given by Isaiah the Prophet concerning Jesus. The Bible here reveals to us the true identity of Jesus by letting us know that; “…the government shall be upon his shoulder …” in other words, He will be responsible for governance. This means that Jesus is the Governor of the whole earth.

Our opening scripture also reveals to us that His name shall be called “… Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, …” So if Jesus is The mighty God, it supports the truth that Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. So Jesus is not junior God, He is One, co-equal with God (See John 1:1,14), but according to Philippians 2:6-7(AMP) while He was on earth He put His glory aside and the Bible lets us know that; “… although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God something to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.”

Jesus is also revealed to us from our opening scripture as, “… The Prince of Peace.” In other words, anywhere Jesus is ruling and reigning there will be peace. The word peace is from the Hebrew word shalom which also means prosperity;  nothing missing and nothing broken. This means that if Jesus is ruling and reigning in your life, you will experience prosperity.

Therefore, if you want to experience peace and prosperity in your home, your marriage, and in every area of your life, His kingdom must reign there. This is because He is the Prince of peace, so wherever He is reigning there must be peace.

CONFESSION
Dear Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you for you keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on You and I trust in you.

Jesus is Lord

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9(NIV)

The word ‘Lord’ in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'kurios' referring to 'a sovereign,' 'supreme in authority,' 'the owner,' 'the master,' 'the Lord of the estate.' So if you confess that Jesus is Lord, you are declaring that He is sovereign, supreme in authority, the owner, the master and Lord of the whole world, then you shall be saved, and to be saved is to be born again.

The question I will like to ask you today is this; “are you born again?” If you are born again, it means that you are saved, and if you are saved, it also means that you have been rescued and delivered from the authority and jurisdiction of satan. This is why it is important for you to be born again because if you are not born again, you are rebelling against Jesus who is the King of the earth.

The Bible shows us in Revelation 1:5 that Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth. In Psalm 24:1, the Bible says, “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” This means that the whole earth belongs to God; every land, every country, including all the resources and minerals that the earth contains, with all the people who live in it. Since all the people on earth belongs to God those of them who are not born again and have not submitted themselves to the Lordship of Jesus are rebelling against the authority of Jesus who is the Prince of the kings of the earth.

This teaching gives you the understanding that being born again is not just a religious practice but it is submitting yourself to the authority of the Prince of the kings of the earth and entering into the kingdom of God.

CONFESSION
I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I am saved. I have been delivered from the power of darkness and I am under the authority and the jurisdiction of Jesus. Therefore I rule and I reign in this life over the kingdom of darkness in Jesus Name. Amen.

You must be born again

“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
John 3:7(KJV)

I remember a time I was counseling a couple for marriage and the Spirit of God told me that the man was not born again. So I asked him, “are you born again sir?” and he answered saying, “yes Pastor I am born again.” So I continued the counseling and the Spirit of God again said to me that the man was not born again. So I asked him again if he was born again, and he answered on the affirmative.

Then I went on to ask him, “how are you sure you are born again?” Then he answered saying, “I grew up in church.” Then I made him know that growing up in church doesn't mean that he was born again. Then he again said, “I use to win sword drill and Bible quiz from childhood.” I again said “that doesn't mean you are born again.” He went on to say, “but I was very close to my Pastor.” I answered, “that doesn't mean you are born again.”

Then I asked him, “have you at anytime in your life said, Jesus come into my heart or Jesus be my Lord and Saviour.” It was at this point he said no, he put his head down and said, “now I realize that I was never born again.” Yet the lady he wanted to get married to, thought he was born again. This man was very generous in church yet he was not born again. Thank God his life was spared all that time, because if he had died that way he would have gone to hell.

Do you know that there are many people like that today who attend churches but are not born again? Yet they think that they are born again. And if you are not yet born again, you have not yet entered into the kingdom of God, and it is only those who have entered into the kingdom of God that can go to heaven. Therefore if you know you are not born again please pray the prayer of salvation below:

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal Saviour. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. Amen.”

Know your value

“Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:31(KJV)

One soul has more value than all the wealth of this world. This means you are of more value than anything in this world. Therefore you ought not to worry about material things.

In Matthew 6:25-26 Jesus said, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” This means that if God is concerned about the birds, then God is more concerned about you.

Birds don't eat because they saved. I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with saving, but when saving becomes your security for the future and that's where all your faith is, God is saying that is unbelief. God wants you to be as confident as a bird who is not afraid because he knows God will take care of it. Therefore as a child of God, your success should be effortless.

Child of God, your heavenly Father is saying to you today, “Don't struggle for material things, I am going to take care of you. Yes work, but don't steal while you work, because when you steal while you work, you are revealing that you don't trust me to take care of you.”

Therefore rest and be confident in the faithfulness of God, because you belong to Him you deserve life's best.

PRAYER
Dear Father I am confident in you because I know you will always take care of me, and give me effortless success in all I lay my hands to do. You are the security for my future, and in your faithfulness, you always position me for life's best in Jesus Name. Amen.

You have all things

“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;”
1 Corinthians 3:21-22(KJV)

Adolf Hitler sold his soul to satan and told satan to give him power on earth telling satan what he will do if he got that power. Suddenly, he rose to influence in Germany, afterwards, he got satan's seat from Pergamos (See Revelation 2:12-13) and from there he proclaimed his one thousand years rule but he died eventually.

I told you that story about Hitler because I want you to know that influence is supernatural. This is why satan who is the god of this world system (2 Corinthians 4:4) is willing to give influence to anyone who sells his soul to him because he knows that when you are lost, you are eternally lost. If you lose a car, you can regain a car, if you lose a house, you can regain a house, but if you lose your soul, it is lost forever. This is why the Bible says in Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Many because of their lust for power or success have sold their soul to satan and joined a cult or an occultic organization at the expense of their soul, because they do not know that in the kingdom of God, God is willing to give them anything because He gave up everything to have us.

This is why we preach the gospel, so that we can let the world know that they do not need to sell their soul to satan to be successful. The success and influence they desire will be theirs if only they yield to the gospel and receive salvation.

The Bible says in Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

PRAYER
Dear Father I give you my heart, my mind, my soul, my strength and all that is within me. Thank you Father for giving your very best for me that I may have all things, to You alone be all the praise and glory in Jesus Name. Amen.

How to enforce God's power

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
Matthew 6:9(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us the manner in which Jesus wants us to pray. Jesus teaches us to pray saying;  “… Our Father which art in heaven, …” Heaven is the headquarters of the kingdom of God. Then Jesus continues teaching us to pray saying in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” This means that Jesus is showing us that through prayer, we can enforce the power and authority of God into our situation and into our sphere.

In 1 Timothy 2:4 the Bible lets us know that God wants all men to be saved. Yet God did not force you, and neither will He force anyone to be born again. You made the choice, so every unsaved person would have to make the choice to ask Jesus to come into their hearts and be their Lord. This is why we pray; because prayer activates the power of God and causes the hearts of unbelievers to yield to the message of the gospel.

Therefore when ever you pray, you are submitting yourself under God's influence and His right to carry out His will in your life or whatever your prayer is directed towards.

Therefore when Jesus teaches us to pray, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” It is because as we pray in this way, it helps to enforce and facilitate everything we do for the spread of the kingdom of God, which causes God’s influence, His language, His love, His Word; which is the constitution of the kingdom of God to dominate and govern the world.

INSTRUCTION
Please read Habakkuk 2:14, then pray that the knowledge of the Lord will continue to grow in influence in our world today.

Don't be passive

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Matthew 11:12(KJV)

It has been said that for evil to prevail, all it takes is for good men to do nothing. That was what led to the decline of Christianity in America. The Christians kept quiet when the Bible was been criticized by people; saying that the Bible was not inspired by God, before long they removed the Bible and prayers from schools in America. We don't have to wait for things to get to that extreme  before we begin to defend the faith in our country.

This is why I encourage you child of God to begin to prepare yourself to lead and succeed in your sphere. If you lead and succeed, you will be ahead, and the one that is ahead will always have influence, and with your influence, you will be able to uphold the practices of the kingdom of God within your sphere. But it all begins with preparation, and preparation is always an advantage.

When you are successful in your field, there are others who will come to you to learn how to be successful. When that happens, you must bring them the gospel and get them born again if they are not, then you can begin to teach them the practices of the kingdom of God.

So, no matter the ministry you belong to, as long as they uphold the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Lordship, it means that we all have the same agenda; therefore you have the responsibility to enthrone the kingdom of God in the affairs of men in this world today beginning from your sphere of contact.

PRAYER
Dear Father I stand against every opposition against the spread of the gospel in our nation today, and I ask that all those behind such opposition will lose their courage to continue, and may their influence be diminished in Jesus Name. Amen.

Signs of the last days

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
Revelation 13:17(KJV)

It is important you understand that most of the events unfolding in the world today, as well as some of these global policies are all signs of the last days.

For instance, the world is beginning to move towards a cashless society. To the unlearned, it may not mean much, but when you have an understanding of the devices and strategy of the Babylonian system, you will know that it is actually one of the preparation of the world for the coming of the antichrist.

There are people who are involved in secret groups  around the world who start up and finance major financial institutions in the world so that they can influence the economies of the world for the Babylonian system.

In other to perpetuate their plan, they have began by proposing a cashless society where you will not need to carry money. They've also projected and seen the limitations of the debit and credit cards, so in other to make your financial transactions more secure in the future, they will again propose an electronic chip which is already been developed that people will insert into their right hand or their forehead; this  electronic chip will have all your biodata and you will also be able to use it for your financial transactions.

The question now is this; why will they propose your right hand or your forehead? it is because the scripture must be fulfilled (See Revelation 13:17). So there is a  desensitization of the minds of the people going on in deceit until Revelation 13:16-17 will come to pass when many will receive the mark of the beast or the number of his name or they will not be able to buy or sell. But as a child of God, you do not need to fret because this will not take place until after the rapture of the Church.

The urgent need for prayer 2

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.” Acts 19:20(KJV)

In line with our opening scripture today, if we are going to take new territories for the kingdom of God, we must pray that the Word of God will grow and prevail in our world.

If you do a study of kingdoms, you will discover that the more territories they conquer, the greater the king and his kingdom. This is because kingdom is a territorial word. Therefore the more territory or space a kingdom governs, the greater that kingdom becomes. That is why when you look at history, you will discover that the British came to Africa with some other European nations to govern them because kings always seek to conquer new territories.

Therefore until we understand kingdom invasion as Christians, we will not be proactive in seeing to the spread of the kingdom of God in our world today. For instance the rise of homosexuality in the world is a Babylonian practice based on the Babylonian system which is against God. This is why they promote anything that God doesn't want because it's a kingdom seeking to spread, but we are grateful to God that our political leaders in this nation have  refused to pass the homosexuality bill into law. We therefore pray that God will continue to strengthen them to maintain that stand against this Babylonian practice inspite of the pressures in Jesus Name. Amen.

INSTRUCTION
1. Pray for the executive arm of government and her institutions; that God will move upon their hearts to continue to implement the right laws and uphold righteousness in our nation.
 2. Pray for the legislative arm of government; that God will influence their hearts to make the right laws and strengthen their hearts against all Babylonian practices and influence.
 3. Pray for the Judiciary; that God will move upon their hearts to always interpret the laws in the light of righteousness.
4. Pray for the  the Sovereign National Conference and the delegates that God will influence their hearts and their decisions.

Psalm 72:1, Ezra 1:1, Proverbs 21:1.

DOING THE WORD
Read 1 Timothy 2:1-4, and pray for the salvation of those who are in authority; that God will open their hearts to the knowledge of the truth.

The Urgent need for prayer 1

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:3-4(KJV)

Today our opening scripture lets us know that there is a demon influence in this world seeking to blind the minds of the people against the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Therefore I charge you to become conscious of our responsibility as ambassadors of the kingdom of God to invade this world for Christ.

For instance, there were things that people could not discuss publicly, but now these very things are what are been enforced in nations around the world. In one of the nations in Europe, a Pastor preached against homosexuality and he was arrested and put in prison. What made that possible? It is because those cultures have been permeated by the Babylonian system.

The head of the Babylonian system is satan, but there will also be a human head called the antichrist. But now there are many antichrists all over the world, they are not the antichrist who is to come, but they are many against Christ today. The Bible shows us this in 1 John 2:18 which says, “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

This is why I encourage you as well as every believer reading this today to take up the responsibility of prayer according to 2 Thessalonians 3:1, so that the Word of the Lord may have free course and spread rapidly and be received with honour wherever it is preached all over the world today.

INSTRUCTION
”… pray for us that the Lord's message may continue to spread rapidly and be received with honor, just as it was among you.”

Taking territories

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
 Colossians 1:13(KJV)

There are two kingdoms  fighting for supremacy over the seven spheres of influence in our world today. We have the Babylonian kingdom headed by satan, and the kingdom of God headed by Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in our opening scripture that we have been delivered from the power of darkness, in other words, we have been delivered from the authority and jurisdiction of darkness, and have been translated into the kingdom of Jesus.

This means that satan has authority over those in darkness. In Ephesians 6:12, the Bible talks about the rulers of the darkness of this world. The word 'rulers' in the Greek is 'kosmokrator' it refers to the spiritual forces that have power over the darkness in the world and which try to take territories for the kingdom of darkness.

For instance there are spiritual forces in regions who try to hold the people there captive, but we who are ambassadors of the kingdom of God go into such territories and invade them by prayer. After we've prayed up and bind those  spiritual forces holding  the people captive, we then release angels into that territory to facilitate the spread of the gospel in that region. (See 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Ephesians 2:2-3)

Then, after praying we must get the Word out, not only by personal evangelism but also through the sublime effect of the media, especially the radio and television whose waves permeates  the atmosphere with the Word of God leading to the salvation of many souls and increasing the influence of the kingdom of God, thereby taking that region for Christ. This is one of our strategy for kingdom invasion.

PRAYER
Dear Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus I pray that every available means by which the gospel is preached today will be effective in reaching the lost for the expansion of God's kingdom. Amen.

Extending God's Kingdom

“And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.”
 Genesis 10:10(KJV)

Our opening scripture today reveals the first time the word kingdom was used in the Bible. The word ‘kingdom’ is from the Hebrew word, 'mamlakah.' Mamlakah means dominion, estate, rule, country, realm, sovereignty, etc. Now from these words listed we are able to deduce that the word kingdom is a territorial word.

For instance an estate or a territory has definite borders, therefore we can deduce from this that the word kingdom carries a territorial imagery. It has been said that the word kingdom is from two words; king and domain. Therefore we can define kingdom as a sphere or a region where the power and the authority of a king is recognized. Kingdom can also be defined as the realm of a king's rule and domain, this refers to the territory of a king's influence.

God is a King, and we who are sons and daughters of God are in the kingdom of God. But there are territories on the face of the earth that have not been submitted to the influence of our King. This is why Jesus said to us in Mark 16:15, “… Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Jesus commands us to go into all the world because there is a god of this world system who controls this world system referring to the kosmos in the Greek. The ‘kosmos’ refers to the orderly arrangement or the seven spheres of influence in society; referring to the family, religions, governments, economics, education, arts and entertainment, and mass media.

Therefore as children of God our responsibility in kingdom invasion is to bring the kingdom of God into these spheres by setting up strategies and praying strategically for these seven spheres of society. We also have to train God's people to go into these spheres to influence them and to establish God's kingdom within these spheres of family, religions, governments, economics, education, arts and entertainment, and mass media. By so doing we will be extending the territory of Jesus influence.

Power of Words

“O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
Matthew 12:34(KJV)

If you want your mouth to be filled with the Word of God, you must first of all fill your heart with the Word of God. Don't try to change the words of your mouth without first filling your heart with what you want to come out of your mouth. This is because there are many people who want to be positive but they have not filled their hearts yet with positive things.

Matthew 12:35 says, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” This means that when you fill your heart with good treasures you will be able to bring forth good things into your life by your words.

The reason why some Christians are doing well is not because the devil is not bothering them, but it is because they know how to bring forth good things with their words. So when I look at your life, I can tell what you say. Therefore if you are having difficulty in life, it is not because the devil is powerful, but it is because your words have been hindering God's help to you; in other words, your negative confessions are the barriers of your own success.

For instance, the reason the children of Israel didn’t get into the promised land was not because the giants were there, but they didn't get into the promised land because of their wrong confession. God called their wrong confession an evil report, which led to their death in the wilderness. (See Numbers 14:1-38)

Child of God I want you to know today that everything in the kingdom of God is voice activated. Concerning your salvation; you had to declare with your mouth  see Romans 10:9-10. Concerning your healing you have to declare with your mouth  see Joel 3:10c. Therefore your life is in your mouth according to Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I declare that the limits are removed from my life. I am blessed with life, I am blessed with peace, I am blessed with prosperity, I am blessed with insight, I am blessed with excellence, I am blessed with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, I am blessed with long life and the number of my days I will fulfill. Me and my household shall only see good days in Jesus Name. Amen.

Knowing the How of Life

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.”
Ecclesiastes 10:15(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us the dilemma of the foolish; they know where they want to go, but they don't know how to get there. That 'how to' is gotten by understanding.

For instance, there are those who have been born again and have come into the kingdom of God, but don't yet understand what they have as Christians. For example the Bible says in 1 John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” This verse reveals to us that you can have something and yet not know that you have it. Then, you may know that you have something, but you may not know how to use what you have. This is the reason for the frustration in many lives.

One of the basic things every Christian should understand is the kingdom. This is because your ignorance is your vulnerability, therefore to be ignorant is to be vulnerable. Ignorance is costly because it will make you defenseless and you will be unable to keep what you have. (See Matthew 13:19) A dear minister of God said, “Ignorance is deadlier than satan.” In other words ignorance will cost you more.

For instance, there are Christians who are suffering right now, not just because the devil is against them, but because they do not understand the power of words. The Bible says in Proverbs 12:14, “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: …” In Matthew 12:37 Jesus said, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Therefore if you are suffering or going through any form of hardship today, one of the first things you need to change is your words. Keep your words consistent with the Word of God because the Bible says in Psalm 34:12-13(GW), “Which of you wants a full life? Who would like to live long enough to enjoy good things? Keep your tongue from saying evil things and your lips from speaking deceitful things.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for enlightening the eyes of my understanding with your words, my heart is flooded with light and I am always empowered to walk in the truth that have been revealed to me in the Word, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You can understand

“And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
Matthew 13:10-11(KJV)

Jesus said in our opening scripture to his disciples, “…it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,” This means that if you are a child of God, according to the words of Jesus, “…it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,” The word ‘know’ in that verse is from the Greek word 'ginosko' which means to understand. In other words, we can say that it is given to you to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.

In talking about understanding the kingdom, Jesus goes on to say in Matthew 13:12, “For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” This means that when you have understanding, God will give him more understanding. The man that doesn't have understanding, even that which he has will be lost. This shows us that we can only retain what we understand.

The first step in understanding is knowledge. The Bible says in Psalm 82:5, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: …” This means that you cannot understand what you don't know. This is why I am bringing to you information from God's Word. Information is the transference  of knowledge, and understanding is insight into knowledge.

Therefore I want to encourage you today to always pray for understanding; you can ask the Lord to grant you understanding of any subject in the Word of God, or any area of your life, or any assignment you have to carry-out, or concerning an important decision you have to make, ask confidently from the Father because you know it has been given to you to understand.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because you have given me the ability to know and understand the mysteries of the kingdom. I thank you Father for insight and revelation into your plan and purpose for my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Importance of understanding 2

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:7(KJV)

The knowledge you possess is useless without understanding. What is understanding? Understanding is the ability to interpret facts. Understanding is meaningful intelligence. This means coming to a point where what you are hearing makes meaning to you.

Child of God, God will only bless you concerning anything you know, to the measure that you understand it. This is why you can observe in the life of two Christians and notice that one of them may be struggling to live right, while the other one is living right without struggles. What is the difference? The one that is able to live right without struggling is able to do so because he understands the Word of God better.

I encourage you to go for understanding, it is one of my primary pursuits in life. It is having understanding that will help you to discern between good and bad according to 1 Kings 3:9. It is good understanding that gives favour according to Proverbs 13:5. Your decisions are based on your level of understanding, and your understanding can empower you to make the right decisions that can preserve your life. The Bible called Abigail a woman of good understanding; this was why she was able to make the decision that preserved not only her life but the life of her entire household from death, and also David from shedding blood  See 1 Samuel 25:3-35.

Therefore with all your getting, get understanding.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you fill me with understanding; such understanding that will always help me to discern between good and bad. Grant me good understanding that will give me favour everywhere I go. Thank you for such understanding that will empower me to always make the right decisions in line with the will of God concerning every area of my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Importance of Understanding 1

“Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.”
Psalm 119:27(KJV)

Today our opening scripture shows us that we can only communicate effectively what we understand. This is because if you don't understand something you would not be able to explain it. That is one of the reasons people fail exams; it is not because they did not read, its because they didn't understand what they read, because you will only remember what you understand.

Psalm 119:33 says, “Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.” This shows us that consistency is a product of teaching. This is why if you are under a Teacher of the Word of God you will be able to walk a consistent Christian walk. Why? It is because consistency is a product of understanding purpose, principles and patterns. This is because God is a God of purpose, principles and patterns. So if you don't understand these things, there are many things you will lose out on.

Psalm 119:34 says, “Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.” This shows us that your behaviour will conform to the Word of God to the measure that you understand it. The reason some persons are not living right is not because they don't want to live right, it is because they lack understanding of the Word of God.

Change is impossible without understanding. Therefore it is when you understand the Word of God that you can change. Making vows or putting a curse on yourself will not change you. The way you are going to change is by understanding the Word of God. Understanding is the missing link in the Christian walk in many lives. Many have so much knowledge but little understanding. Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I ask that you give to me the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding in Jesus Name. Amen.

Understanding the Kingdom

“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”
Matthew 13:19(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us the importance of understanding the Word of the kingdom. This is because if you do not understand the Word of the kingdom when you hear it, you will lose it because satan will steal it from your heart.

In emphasizing the importance of understanding which we are going to look at for the next few days, Jesus said in Matthew 13:23, “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” This reveals to you the principle that the Word of God will bear fruit in your life to the measure that you understand it.

Therefore without understanding, the Word of God that you hear will not benefit you. So if you do not understand the kingdom, you cannot be triumphant and prevail against the gates of hell. This is why I encourage you to give attention to the Word in season coming to you in this month so that your faith can be built up. According to 1 John 5:4 the Bible lets us know that the victory that overcomes the world is our faith. So build your faith on the Word of the kingdom and you will be an over comer in all realms of life.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you give unto me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you. May the eyes of my understanding be enlightened to know the hope of your calling, and the riches of the glorious inheritance in the saints in Jesus Name. Amen.

Kingdom Invasion

“…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18(KJV)

What is a kingdom? The dictionary defines kingdom as 'the eternal kingship of God.' It also defines kingdom as 'the realm in which God's will is fulfilled.' Other dictionary definitions are; 'A realm or region in which something is dominant.' 'A politically organized community or major territorial unit having a monarchical form of government headed by a king or queen.’

In this month we will be focusing on kingdom invasion. Therefore, it is also important for you to know what it means to invade. 'To invade means to enter into a territory to conquer or plunder.' The word invade is from a Latin word 'invadere.' Invadere means 'to go in.’

Therefore when we are talking about kingdom invasion, we are talking about taking back territories held captive by the kingdom of darkness, and at the same time going into new territories and conquering them for the kingdom of God.

In Matthew 16:18 Jesus said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” It is important you know that gates demarcate territories. A gate also determines who can come in and who can come out of a territory. This means that when Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” He actually meant that His church will invade the kingdom of darkness and overcome it. So as a child of God be conscious knowing that you are a member of a victorious and triumphant Church. Praise God.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for the victory that you have given unto us in Christ Jesus. Therefore on account of your Word to us in this season,  may each one of us be empowered to reclaim old and conquer new territories for the advancement of your kingdom in Jesus Name. Amen.
