Delivered from all sin.

"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"

Ephesians 1:5-7

Grace is what gives you value before God. Your value before God is not because of who your parents are, or the country in which you were born. It is the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ who shed His blood for you so that you might be saved through Him from all sin.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Every one that is born into this world was born with the nature of sin because of Adam's transgression. Therefore, whether you have never smoked or you have never committed fornication, if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, you are a sinner.

The word, sin, is from the Greek word 'hamartia' which means ‘to miss the mark.’ Sin has three expressions which include, iniquity known as inherent sin or the sin nature. Every one born into this world has the sin nature. That is why you do not need to teach a little child how to lie because humanity inherited a dysfunctional nature from Adam. See Romans 5:12. The second expression of sin is called transgression. This is when you break God's law. See 1 John 3:4, Isaiah 53:4. The third expression of sin is trespass. This refers to the sin against your brother. See Matthew 6:14-15. The blood of Jesus Christ is able to deliver us and completely cleanse us from all sin when we believe on Him.

Dear Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to die for me. By His redemptive work, I am washed, sanctified and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God. Amen.
