What does He want?

Tuesday, April 12th
What does He want?

“And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.”
Genesis 24:67

Sincerely, every man is looking for something in his mother in his wife. Our opening scripture shows us that Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother's tent because his mother has just died. He was obviously missing his mother's love. The love of a mother is always unconditional towards her children. Every man wants to have that unconditional acceptance from the woman he intends to marry or from his wife.

Every man is looking for that woman who will love him without seeing his faults. Men live in a competitive world. In a man's world things are more aggressive, but there is one thing a mother brings into a man's life - comfort. When the child is going through challenges, the mother always brings comfort. She makes statements like, “Don't worry my son, things will get better.”

Women, take note of these things because your husband wants you to bring comfort to him. Always be a source of encouragement to him. Don't nag him; encourage him because this will foster the love and peace you desire in your home. Be willing to stand by your husband during challenging times because that is one of the characters of true love.

Instruction.
Let's pray for marriages and couples today that God will cause His love to abound in their hearts more and more towards each other.
