The Book of truth 2.

“Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another--showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way.”
2 Timothy 3:16(MSG)  

Yesterday we learnt that the Bible is ahead of science. Today we see from our opening scripture that the Bible shows us truth and corrects our mistakes.

For example, if you studied geography, you would have been taught that, for many years, men believed that the earth was flat. However, before science discovered that the earth was not flat, it was already revealed in the Bible that the earth was spherical. Isaiah 40:22 says, “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, …” the Message Bible puts it this way, “God sits high above the round ball of earth…”

Secondly, before science discovered the ozone layer, the Bible already revealed that there was a covering over the earth. Isaiah 40:22b (GW) says, “…He stretches out the sky like a canopy and spreads it out like a tent to live in.” That is the covering over the earth and it was already recorded in the Bible before it was discovered.

Similarly, before crude oil and other minerals were discovered, the Bible already recorded in Deuteronomy 33:19 that there is an abundance in the sea and treasures hid in the sand. Love the Word of God and study your Bible because there is so much information in there. If you let the Holy Spirit guide you, He will open your mind and show you greater discoveries from the Bible that no man has known yet.

Dear Father, I ask that you guide me into all truth by your Spirit from your Word, and grant me knowledge of witty inventions for the glory of your Name, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
