Remind Him of His Words.
“Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.”
Psalm 119:49
A minister's daughter was dying and she was rushed to the hospital. Immediately, he went to his office to search for scriptures to validate God's power over death, because he wanted to reverse a case of death. After he found the scriptures, he sent the scriptures to the hospital for it to be read to his daughter, as they read it to her, life was restored to her. Praise God.
Those scriptures were the grounds on which he stood in prayer; they in turn guaranteed the answer to his prayer. Notice it was not tears, shouting or complaining; rather it was the Word of God that guaranteed the answer to his prayer.
On what ground are you basing your prayer on? For instance, why should you have a job? Search the Bible and find scriptures that will serve as a ground on which you can stand on in prayer. So when you pray, those scriptures are what you should use in prayer. Therefore if you are in need of a job, your prayer can be prayed in this way, “Father in the Name of Jesus, your Word says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 that he that does not work should not eat. Your word also says in Ephesians 4:28 that I should work with my hands so that I might have to give to him that needeth.” After you have brought forth these scriptures and any other scripture you find in line with your desire, then go ahead and name the kind of job you want, thanking Him for His answer and expecting to find favour according to what you have asked. That is how to pray in line with the Word of God.
Instruction.
Please read Psalm 79:11 and pray that God will preserve every member of your family from death.
For further study, read:
Genesis 32:9-12, 2 Samuel 7:25-29, Psalm 119:74.
