Pray for political leaders.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;”
1 Timothy 2:1-3
Every society is a reflection of the prayer life of the church. When you look at your nation, your state, city and your street, if things are not as they should be; do not blame those individuals who are in authority. You take responsibility.
I remember there was a time an American president made a bad decision and everybody was mocking him including the Christians because he was supposed to be a Christian. When Jesus appeared to Kenneth Hagin, He told him that on the Day of Judgment, the church will give account for the decision that president made. This is because we are supposed to pray for our political leaders that God will influence their hearts to do His will.
Therefore, do not take praying for those in authority in the nation lightly. It is a very important responsibility that we have as believers. If we do not pray for them we will leave them to the influence of satan, but when we pray for them we make them subject to the influence of God's Spirit to move their hearts to favour God's righteous cause. Whether they are saved or not they can be influenced by our prayer, so pray for them.
Instruction.
Please pray for all our political leaders in the nation according to Ezra 1:1, that God will stir up their hearts to favour His righteous cause.

Ezra 1:1, Proverbs 21:1, 1 Kings 4:29.
