Ask in Jesus Name.
“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
John 16:23
Our opening scripture is a blank cheque from Jesus to you. “… Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” The word 'will' in that verse means, 'to take pleasure in', 'to delight in' and 'to be excited about'. This means that the Father is always excited to answer the prayer prayed in the Name of Jesus.
Therefore, when you pray in the Name of Jesus are you aware that the Father is eager to answer your prayer? It is His pleasure to answer your prayer. Some people pray in doubt wondering whether they will get an answer from God because they are not focusing on His ability and the power in Jesus Name, but on their outward circumstances and their own holiness. Always remember the words of Jesus; He puts prayer on a positive note. He said, “… Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
John 16:24 says, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” Whenever you ask, you shall receive that your joy may be full. This shows us that one of the reasons many people are depressed is because of unanswered prayers. When you ask today, receive, that your joy may be full.
