He Came To Fulfil Prophecy 1

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the
scripture is of any private interpretation. For the
prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:

but holy men of God spake as they were moved by
the Holy Ghost.”
2 Peter 1:20-21.

Jesu came to fulfil prophecy. Our opening
scripture reveals to us that every prophecy
concerning Jesus is not from any private
interpretation. That is what the Bible says.
Prophecy is speaking under the inspiration or
influence of the Holy Spirit.

When you read the Bible you are not reading the
opinion of men you are reading the Word of God in
truth. The Message Bible puts 2 Peter 1:20-21 this
way, “The main thing to keep in mind here is that
no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private
opinion. And why? Because it's not something
concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted
when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to
speak God's Word.”

None of the prophets who spoke concerning Jesus
spoke their own opinion, they spoke as they were
moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.”

Therefore, as we examine the prophecies given
concerning Jesus in the next few days, it should
cause you to believe in the divinity of Jesus and the
infallibility of the Bible which is the Word of God.

Prayer.

In the Name of Jesus, I believe I receive wisdom
and insight from Your Word into the knowledge
of God and who Jesus really is. Amen.
