He Came To Fulfil Prophecy 14

“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of
Scripture came about by the prophet's own

interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in
the will of man, but men spoke from God as they
were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
2 Peter 1:20-21 (NIV).

Do you know that it was prophesied
concerning Jesus that He will be rejected yet He
will still be made the capstone or
the chief cornerstone? In Psalm 118:22-23 (NKJV)
the psalmist speaking by the Holy Spirit said, “The
stone which the builders rejected Has become the
chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing; It is
marvelous in our eyes.”

This Word spoken concerning Jesus came to pass in
His life as declared by Peter the Apostle in Acts 4:9-
12, “If we this day are judged for a good deed done
to a helpless man, by what means he has been made
well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people
of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised
from the dead, by Him this man stands here before
you whole. This is the 'stone which was rejected by
you builders, which has become the chief
cornerstone.' Nor is there salvation in any other,
for there is no other name under heaven given
among men by which we must be saved."

Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone on whom we are
built on according to Ephesians 2:19-20 (NKJV),
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and
foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and
members of the household of God, having been built
on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,”
