“Most important of all, you must understand this: No
prophecy in the Scriptures comes from the prophet's
own understanding. No prophecy ever came from
what some person wanted to say. But people were
led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.”
2 Peter 1:20-21 (ERV).
According to our opening scripture, David
speaking by the Holy Spirit said in Psalm
16:8-10 (NLT), “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside
me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My
body rests in safety. For you will not leave my soul
among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the
grave.” David here was not saying just what he
wanted to say, by the Spirit of God he was
prophesying concerning Jesus that His body was
not going to rot in the grave and that is exactly what happened.
Acts 2:29-32 says, "Dear brothers, think about this!
You can be sure that the patriarch David wasn't
referring to himself, for he died and was buried, and
his tomb is still here among us. But he was a
prophet, and he knew God had promised with an
oath that one of David's own descendants would sit on his throne. David was looking into the future
and speaking of the Messiah's resurrection. He was
saying that God would not leave him among the
dead or allow his body to rot in the grave. "God
raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses
of this.”
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to
Romans 8:2, For the law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of
sin and death. Amen.

Doing the Word.
Meditate on Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of
him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in
you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall
also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit
that dwelleth in you.”
