Do You Love Me? 1

“This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself
to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter,
Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?
He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I
love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.”
John 21:14-15.

God will always test the sincerity of your
love towards Him. If He did that to Peter,
He will of necessity do that to you. Therefore,
you can examine your love for the Lord
by assessing your involvement and participation in
the things that matter most to Him.

Are you involved in the things of the Lord or you
are too busy with the things of this life Maybe your
business or your career takes all your time or your
hobby is so important to you and you cannot help
yourself anymore because you are now addicted to
it. Whatever takes most of your time and money is
what you are living for. With this understanding, if
you are going to be true to yourself to sincerely
answer this love question, what would you say you
are living for?

If your answer reveals that you have left the Lord
out of your life or you have given Him only a small
part of your life, I encourage you to reorder your
priorities today and make the necessary
adjustments.

No matter who you are or what you do, if you are
not actively involved and prioritizing the things of
God as a Christian, you don't love God. Think about
it. Just as He asked Peter, He is asking you today,
“Do you love Me more than these?”

Instruction.
If you know you have been living your life
without prioritizing the things of God, I want
you to repent today and ask the Father to fill
your heart with the knowledge of the length,
breadth, depth and height of His love for you.
