Love The Brethren

“Now may our God and Father Himself, and our
Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And may
the Lord make you increase and abound in love to
one another and to all, just as we do to you,”
1 Thessalonians 3:11-12 (NKJV).

The payer in our opening scripture is a
prayer you should pray for yourself as a Christian
because God wants your love to
increase and abound toward others and towards all
men. Note that when anything is abounding, they
are in great quantity or overflowing.

If you want your love to overflow toward other
believers then pray this prayer in our opening
scripture for yourself consistently. This is
important because we cannot love those outside
the church if we don't love ourselves in the church.

When last did you sincerely reach out to other
members of the Body of Christ to show love to
them. Do you care to know anyone in your local
church? If you are reaching out in love to other
believers, it means your love is abounding toward
others. It is time to begin to abound in love towards
the saints, so start from within your local church
and intentionally reach out to other believers
within the church. Share with others. Get involved
with others in activities and fellowships that will
foster love and unity in the church. That is what
God wants and demands from each of us in Christ.

The Bible says in Galatians 5:13-14 (TLB), “For, dear
brothers, you have been given freedom: not freedom
to do wrong, but freedom to love and serve each
other. For the whole Law can be summed up in this
one command: "Love others as you love yourself."

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my love to
abound more and more towards other believers
and towards all men, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
