“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God;
and everyone who loves is born of God and knows
God. He who does not love does not know God, for
God is love.”
1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV).
Love is the behavioural expression of the life
and nature of God. If you are not a loving
person, our opening scripture shows that you do not know God.
An individual who is not loving is not acquainted
with God.
1 Corinthians 12:1-3 (NLT) says, “Now regarding
your question about food that has been offered to
idols. Yes, we know that "we all have knowledge"
about this issue. But while knowledge makes us feel
important, it is love that strengthens the church.
Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn't
really know very much. But the person who loves
God is the one whom God recognizes.” These verses
shows us that the proof of your intimacy with God is
your love walk.
Your love walk at home towards your family
members, the Body of Christ, all people and
towards God is the true measure of your spiritual
maturity.
Remember the words of Jesus in John 13:34-35, “A
new commandment I give unto you, That ye love
one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love
one another. By this shall all men know that ye are
my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that as a member
of the Body of Christ the love of Christ is
activated in me towards God, towards my
spouse, towards the Body of Christ, towards the
unsaved, towards the sick, towards the poor and
towards all men. Amen.
