Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Jesus our Lord in our opening scripture shows to you that He has given you authority over serpents and scorpions,  and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

This reminds me of a documentary I watched which proved that animals; including wild animals respond to fear; in other words, when you are afraid you become vulnerable to wild animals. One of the things that these researchers did to prove this was allowing some women to swim in a shark  infested water. These women actually swarm in the water with the sharks present. When the sharks came close to them, they just remained calm and refused to fear or become apprehensive because of the presence of the sharks, and the sharks swarm pass them without hurting any of them.

I know that it may be difficult to believe this with your mind, but why I believe this is because of this truth: “you can only conquer what fears you, and what you fear is what will conquer you.”
Also in James 3:7(BBE) the Bible says, “For every sort of beast and bird and every living thing on earth and in the sea has been controlled by man and is under his authority;”  The above scripture clearly shows us that man has been given complete authority over all living things.

Prayer.
Dear Father I thank you because according to your Word, I have been given authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me in Jesus Name. Amen.
