Don't live in ignorance

Tuesday, March 29th
Don't live in ignorance.

“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.”
Psalm 82:5

Ignorance is darkness. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is deadly. Therefore, because of the ignorance we see in the lives of God's people they are not able to live in the fullness of what God has said concerning them.

God said to them in Psalm 82:6-7, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Their ignorance made them victims. This means that ignorance will make anyone a victim in life.

Hosea 4:6a says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: …” The word 'destroyed' here means to fail, to be brought to nothing, reduced to zero, perish, etc. This means that failure is traceable to ignorance. God's people fail because they lack relevant knowledge. They do not know that they are made for the top.

You are where you are because of what you know. It is not because anybody made you stay there or because someone was so powerful to keep you down. Nobody can keep you down without your permission. Your ignorance is what is limiting you.

Take responsibility instead of complaining about where you are. Begin to study the Word of God and relevant materials to get relevant knowledge for greater effectiveness in every area of your life. John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Knowledge liberates. Therefore you are as free as you know. The freedom you enjoy is traceable to your knowledge. The area of your life you are suffering any oppression is the area of your life that you lack knowledge. Go for knowledge.

Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that you give unto me the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Guide me to the right materials that will lead me into the victories I should have in this season of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
