Don't live in condemnation.
“Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.”
1 John 3:21
There are many Christians who claim they believe in the forgiveness of sins but their actions reveal that they still have condemnation in their hearts concerning the sins they committed in their past. This is revealed in their lack of confidence towards God especially when challenges arise in their lives.
For instance, there are Christians who when they are faced with challenges in their lives begin to ask God to forgive them of sins they committed many years ago even before they became born again. It is proof they are living in sin consciousness because of the condemnation in their hearts for asking to be forgiven of sins that has already been remitted by the blood of Jesus.
When you got born again, the blood of Jesus Christ completely wiped out all the sins of your past. You became a new creation in Christ Jesus. Do not allow condemnation in your heart anymore because it will make your faith ineffective and rob you of confidence towards God.
Romans 3:25-26(MSG) says, “God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public--to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured. This is not only clear, but it's now--this is current history! God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness.”
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for making me righteous by my faith in Christ Jesus. I release my faith in the finished works of Christ that has made me a new creation in Him. Therefore, I am free from condemnation and I am empowered to live in His rightness in my thoughts, words and deeds, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
