Eternal Forgiveness

Sunday, March 6th
Eternal forgiveness.

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
Ephesians 1:7

Redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ accomplished the forgiveness of our sins. In other words, when Christ paid for our sins, He redeemed us. Colossians 1:14(AMP) says, “In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.”

This means that redemption is forgiveness and forgiveness is redemption. With this understanding I will like to show you Hebrews 9:11-12, “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Therefore, if Christ obtained eternal redemption for us and remember we established earlier that redemption is forgiveness, it means that Christ has obtained for us eternal forgiveness. This means that when God forgives your sins, He forgives them eternally. That means when a sin is blotted out, it is blotted out forever.

This is why God says in Hebrews 8:12, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Praise God!

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for the great grace which you have lavished on me through the blood of Jesus Christ which accomplished eternal forgiveness for me. I receive grace to live above sin and reproach in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Isaiah 43:25, Matthew 26:28, Romans 3:23-26.

Doing the Word.
Stop living in the guilt of your past sins, they have been eternally forgiven.
