Out of darkness

Out of darkness.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
1 Peter 2:9

Our opening scripture shows us that we have been called out of darkness. This has to go beyond head knowledge to you, because the reason why some Christians are oppressed today is because they do not know that they are free people who have been called out of darkness.

When you got born again, you received the life and nature of God. That life is called zoe in the Greek. In John 1:4 the Bible says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” This means that when the life of God comes into you, you begin to see. His life (zoe) brings you light.

John 1:5(ESV) says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” This means that from the day you got born again, it became impossible for satan to overcome you or defeat you. Jesus said in John 8:12, “… I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

As long as you are no longer in the darkness, satan cannot defeat you because he and his cohorts are called the rulers of the darkness of this world (Ephesians 6:12). Secondly, Jesus said to us in John 15:19, “… ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, …” Since you are not of the world, the rulers of the darkness of this world have no authority over your life.

Therefore, the spirit of your village or any devil cannot oppress you anymore because you have been called out of darkness and you are not of this world. Declare this truth over your life and rebuke those devils and they shall flee from you.

In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to my faith in the Word of God that I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar person; that I should shew forth the praises of him who hath called me out of darkness into his marvellous light. I have zoe which has brought the light of God inside of me. By that light I have overcome the world and the rulers of the darkness of this world. All devils are my subjects. Amen.
