“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8,
There are many who are praying and wondering how long they will need to pray before God will hear their prayers. No, the issue is not about God hearing your prayer, the real issue is that most prayers are hindered by strife and bitterness. I encourage you to make sure there is no strife in your heart. This is very important if you want to get results quickly when you pray.
Do you know that letting go of strife and unforgiveness can lengthen your days?
I will like to share the miraculous story of Dodie Osteen and how God healed her from a cancer death sentence. In 1981, she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the liver. She was told that with or without chemotherapy, she had weeks to live.
Apart from the prayers she prayed and many others who prayed for her, one day, she examined her heart and God began to deal with her about some things. So, one night she wrote letters to seven people whom she felt she might have offended – who she needed to forgive or who needed to forgive her. She said she even wrote letters to people she thought she might have offended after she became sick, because she had been so irritable. One letter was to her husband and others were to her children. She also prayed for others. All these helped to improve the quality of her health. Today she is still alive and healed of metastatic cancer of the liver. Praise God.
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Amen.
