Change In Character

“Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and
hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As
newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word,

that ye may grow thereby:”
1 Peter 2:1-2.

Having a title does not mean you are grown
spiritually. One of the evidence of spiritual growth is

change. Change means
you are growing. This means that if you are not
changing in your character as a Christian it means
that your spiritual growth has become stagnated.

Based on the characteristics of a babe in Christ
highlighted in our opening scripture, I will like to
ask you the following questions: “Do you keep
malice? “Do you lie?” “Do you act like a hypocrite?”
“Do you pretend?” “Do you jealous and resent
others?” “Do you speak words that do not glorify
God?” If your answer to the questions above is in
the affirmative, it means that your spiritual growth
has become stagnated and you are still a baby
spiritually.

Finally, 1 Corinthians 3:3 says, “For ye are yet
carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and

strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as
men?” Based on this verse, I will like to ask you the
following questions: “Do you encourage divisions
by your lifestyle?” Do you quarrel with others? Do
you quarrel with your husband or your wife? If you
do, then you need to repent and expose yourself to
the Word of God until Christ-like character is
formed in you.

Instruction.
Please read Galatians 4:19 and pray that Christ
be formed in you.

For further study, read:
Romans 13:12, Ephesians 4:22-25, Colossians 3:5-8.

Doing the Word
Pray Galatians 4:19 for yourself and others
often.
