Choose To Grow

“By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused
to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of God,

than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;”
Hebrews 11:24-25.

Another important principle that will help
Ayou grow spiritually is knowing that spiritual
growth is a decision. This means
that spiritual growth is intentional. It will not
happen by chance, it will happen by choice.

One of the decisions that helped Moses grow
spiritually as seen in our opening scripture was,
“Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people
of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a
season;” Are you that way? Have you made such a
choice and a decision?

The Bible says in Hebrews 11:26, “Esteeming the
reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures
in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence
of the reward.” Let this mind be in you. The New
Living Translation puts it this way, “He thought it
was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to
own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking
ahead to his great reward.”

As you make up your mind to grow spiritually
today, I want to encourage you to embrace the
discipline you may need to endure as investments
for greater rewards and benefits in the future.

Confession.
According to the Word of God, I declare that I
am strengthened with might by God's Spirit to
do what I ought to do and to refuse to do what I
shouldn't do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Philippians 2:5-13,
Hebrews 12:1-2.

Doing the Word.
Go through whatever denial you have to today
for your spiritual growth because of the benefits
you will enjoy tomorrow.
