Growth Check 3

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in
favor with God and men.”
Luke 2:52 (NKJV)

The seventh evidence of spiritual growth is
increase in wisdom. What is wisdom? Wisdom is
insight into the mind of God. 1
Corinthians 2:16 (NKJV) says, “For "who has
known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct
Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.” As you
grow and access the wisdom of God, it will give
you insight into the mind of God.

The eighth evidence of spiritual growth is an
increase in grace. 2 Peter 3:18 (AMP) says, “But
grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual
strength) and recognition and knowledge and
understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
(the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty,
and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity.
Amen (so be it)!”

The ninth evidence of spiritual growth is increased
love for God and His Word. You can use your appetite
and love for the Word of God to judge your
spiritual growth. Is your love for the Word of God
increasing? Are you spending more time reading,
hearing, studying and meditating on the Word of
God more than before? If you are, then you are
growing. Job 23:12 (AMP) says, “I have not gone
back from the commandment of His lips; I have
esteemed and treasured the words of His mouth
more than my necessary food.”

Instruction.

Please read Exodus 36:1 and ask God to give you
wisdom and divine know how concerning your
job and all that is committed to your trust.

For further study, read:

1 Corinthians 2:13-14, Philippians 1:9,
1 John 5:1-3.

Doing the Word

Assess your spiritual growth by examining the
measure of wisdom and grace of God at work in
your life. Also pay attention to your appetite for
the Word of God and ensure it's on the increase.
