IMPACT WEEKLY

Impact Weekly— 22nd – 28th April.

Message for the weekNext Level Christianity- by Pastor David Wale Feso.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt”? Matt 14:28-31 (KJV).

Peter was not walking on the water because there was no wind; neither was he walking on the water because there were no waves. He was walking on the water by faith. The bible says; and beginning to sink. So why did he sink? The bible says he was afraid. Take note of this, that when Peter was beginning to sink, Jesus did not stretch out His hand to save him. Until he said; “Lord, save me”. In saying that, he accepted deliverance from Jesus, otherwise Peter would have sunk there.
Someone may say; “God told me to go into the ministry, I went there, I suffered and I angrily left. Now he left the ministry because he did not accept deliverance. Peter when he was beginning to sink, would have died there if all he was saying was; “Jesus am dying, Jesus am going”, but no. He cried out; “Lord, save me” and Jesus stretched out His hand quickly and saved him.
That is the same way life is, instead of you to ask for deliverance and reach out with your faith for deliverance, you see some persons saying words like; “I am closer to where I am going than where I am coming from”.
Then things gets worse, still when they would have reached out in faith, they continue to confess that things are getting worse. In that process, they just keep on sinking because they did not accept deliverance. Accept deliverance by crying out: “Lord, save me”. And just as Jesus responded to Peter, He would also deliver you from that challenge.
This is why many sad things happen to some Christians because they did not accept deliverance. When they are in a car and the driver suddenly steps on the brakes their first response is for them to shout out that they are dying, then an accident takes place and they die. Why? They said it and they had what they said. But someone else says; “Jesus, save me” and they found themselves outside the car. Why? They accepted deliverance.
One of my friends had such an experience sometime ago on his way to Calabar. On those high parts of the road, their vehicle had an accident, their driver could not be found, and some other people could not find their ears, others had all kinds of injuries, but my friend was found outside the car with his bag. When he was found, he was asked if he came with the other people. He said yes. Then they asked how he came out of the car unharmed with his bag, he said he did not know. Now the greatest miracle was not that my friend was saved but that the angel of the Lord remembered his bag. Think about that. The angel carried him out to stand by the side of the road with his bag so that if he wants, he can easily enter into a vehicle and keep on going.
This is to show you how God loves His own and He is willing to protect us if only we believe for it. In the book of Joshua, Rahab and her household was spared from the collapse of the wall of Jericho which the bible says fell down flat. There was a greater miracle there because her house was on the wall and the whole wall fell down flat, yet Rahab and all her household was spared including all their property. Now this beats my mind because he not only saved them, He also saved their property: their cups, spoons and all that they had. See Joshua 6:22-25.
Having this understanding, you will know that it is impossible for you house to burn. Why? Because you are kept safe by the Lord. Think about this, one of our members was coming from one of the riverine villages and her boat capsized, but guess what; she found herself floating on the
water. She didn’t know how to swim but yet she was floating. Why? There is a God in this commission who keeps His own.  For this cause I make this declaration over your life that; you won’t lose your phone any more, you won’t lose your things anymore; no thief would come to your house any more in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Have you heard some preachers who say things like; “you see God can give you a child that is an imbecile or maybe a child that the leg is broken. No that message is not for you. Your children shall be born sound; they shall be whole without any deformity in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is an evil world and that is why such children are born. I am not against those who have such children; I believe that they can be healed, but for us we accept deliverance because Jesus died to deliver us from this present evil world.
The world is evil, but Jesus died to make it possible for you to be safe. I heard the story about how some assassins went to a man’s house to kill him, and they entered his bedroom and told his wife to get up. She got up. Then they asked; where is your husband? Her husband was there yet they could not see him. They carried the foam and turned it upside down with the man on it, yet they could not see him. Know this that you are hidden from evil eyes in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Learn to accept deliverance. The bible says they took Jesus to go and throw Him down the cliff, but He walked pass the midst of them unharmed. I chose to accept deliverance. That is what Jesus died for. He died to deliver us from this present evil world. See Luke 4:29-30.
“Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.” Romans 4:23-24 (KJV).

Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead? If you do, then righteousness has been imputed unto you. That means in the sight of God you are righteous. Live with this understanding and you will lose all your fears. See Isaiah 54:14; Proverbs 12:28.
