The Fear of the Lord

The Fear of the Lord

Hebrews 12:28 NKJV
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
The acceptable way to serve God is through reverence and godly fear. To reverence God is to treat Him with high regard or great esteem. To reverence God is to treat Him great honor and respect. To reverence God is to exalt Him and magnify Him above everything else and everyone else. In other words, where there’s reverence, God’s Word will be final authority; His Word will be exalted above all other opinions, suggestions or ideas.
Wherever God is reverenced, He is honored. All that concerns Him is treated with high regard and great respect. Genesis 22:12 NKJV And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Wherever there’s reverence for God, there’s a genuine hatred for sin. Men and women who fear God, hate sin, pride (even in themselves) and arrogance.
To fear God is to obey Him. Reverence is unrestrained loyalty and obedience to God irrespective of unfavorable circumstances. To fear God is to defer to Him always. To fear God is to submit to the authority of His Word selflessly. Proverbs 8:13 NKJV The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
The Blessings of Reverence
Reverence is revealed in our attitude towards God and men. Reverence is a thing of the heart. It is more than a mere outward show of humility and devotion to God. It is a lifestyle of heartfelt loyalty to God and all that He represents even at the expense of self.

  1. Wherever there’s genuine reverence for God, there will be a free flow of revelation.
    Proverbs 1:7 NKJV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
    Psalms 111:10 NKJV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
Irreverence will block the free flow of revelation. The Bible says, “And shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: And He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears.”
Genuine reverence will lead to uncommon insight as was seen in the life of Joseph and Daniel.
  2. Wherever there’s reverence, you will see miracles.
    Acts 2:43 NKJV
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
    Acts 5:11-16 NKJV
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. -- There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Wherever there’s genuine reverence for God, you will see outstanding miracles. Wherever God is honored, exalted and magnified above all else, He will show up and show off: glorifying Himself by doing miracles. Such miracles like the lame walking, the blind seeing, the dead being raised to life, the maimed made whole. These are called mighty deeds in the Scriptures.
  3. Wherever there’s reverence there will be generational blessings.
    Genesis 22:12-18 NKJV
And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Psalms 112:1-2 NKJVBlessed is the man who fears the Lord,Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. When we reverence God obey Him. We are excited about His Word and do what He commands us to do. This unlocks generational blessings.
What is a generational blessing? A generational blessing is a divine endowment upon a man or woman that defines their generation that empowers them to be fruitful, productive, successful and prosperous in all that they do. They are always the head wherever they find themselves and excel above their peers. It marks a family for many generations. Every succeeding generation becomes greater than the previous one. That’s a generational blessing. It increases with every new generation.
  4. The Fear of the Lord can lead to Church growth.
Acts 9:31 NKJV The Church Prospers
Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.
Acts 5:12-14 NKJV Continuing Power in the Church
And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,
If you observe, you will notice that the largest Churches in the world are majorly Churches where the Word of God is highly reverenced, in other words, held in high esteem. For instance, the largest Church in the World in South Korea. What about the largest Churches in Nigeria. Selah.
To fear God is to depend completely on His help. Men who fear God are humble. They know that without divine help they will fail so they lean on the empowering assistance of the Eternal Holy Spirit. He is the Lord of the Harvest. He is the One who draws men. Men and women who reverence and recognize the Holy Spirit always command a large following. This is because God gives more grace to the humble. The humble are those who know that without God they will utterly fail. It is this attitude of complete God dependence that makes God summon the crowds to listen to them. If you will only humble yourself, God will increase the grace on your life. Selah
Without divine help, millions will not gather for a Church meeting. It takes the grace of God and the Supernatural help of God to see millions of people gather for a meeting. If you doubt it. Organize a meeting and see whether millions will gather without divine help.

Thanks for reading through this message. May the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord mantle your heart and life. May God put a generational blessing on you such that with every seed in your bloodline there shall be an increase in Blessing, graces and Divine empowerment in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Pray In His Authority 1.

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
John 16:23

When you pray in the Name of Jesus, you are coming in the authority of Jesus before the Father. Therefore, praying in the Name of Jesus causes you to receive special attention from God.

Jesus said in our opening scripture, “... Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” So when you pray in the Name of Jesus, it excites God to answer your prayer. In other words, the Father delights to give you whatever you ask because you asked in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus goes further and said, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24. I encourage you to go ahead and ask today in the Name (authority) of Jesus and be sure to receive answers.

Notice from the above that Jesus puts prayer in a positive note, yet there are lots of people who pray in the Name of Jesus without knowing what they are doing. Jesus is teaching us here that whenever you pray in His name, you are praying in His authority so always expect to receive answers.
God does not reject anyone that comes to Him in faith in the Name of Jesus. Therefore, as you make your demands in faith today, expect positive outcomes.

Prayer.
Based on what you have learnt today, go ahead and ask the Father for whatsoever you will in the Name of Jesus.

For further study, read:
Matthew 7:7, Matthew 21:22, John 14:13-14.

Doing the Word
Always remember to make your requests with thanksgiving.

You Are Seated In The Seat Of Power

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”
Ephesians 2:4-6

In exercising complete authority, you must understand that you are seated on the highest seat of authority in Christ. You are not ordinary, heaven backs up your words.

Also, as one who is seated in heavenly places in Christ, it means that you are far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and all things have been put under your feet because of your union with Christ. See Ephesians 1:20-23.

Luke 10:17 says, “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.”

Notice, they didn't say 'even a devil', they said 'even the devils' that means all kinds; fat ones, short ones.  huge ones, all devils, all of them, senior devils and junior devils are all subject unto us in the Name of Jesus. In other words, all you need to do is exercise faith in the Name of Jesus and all devils will bow before you.

I have heard Christians say that the devil is hindering their prayers, if you are like that, you are not operating in your New Testament authority, because in the New Testament the devil cannot hinder your prayers without your cooperation. See 1 Peter 3:7.

Therefore, whenever you mention the Name of Jesus, know that the Name has complete authority in all realms: in heaven, on earth and under the earth according to Philippians 2:9-11.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that all devils are my subject. Therefore I bind the manipulations and the maneuvers of the devil within my sphere of contact. Satan is defeated and remains under my feet, in the Name of Jesus.

For further study, read:
Psalm 118:17, John 11:25-26, 1 Corinthians 3:21-23.

Doing the Word
Use the Name of Jesus to command obedience whenever you pray.

Authority Over The Elements.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Authority Over The Elements.

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:”
Psalm 8:3-6

God has given you; if you are a Christian, dominion over the works of His hands so you have authority over the elements. For instance, because I understand my authority over the elements, when the sun is too high sometimes, I would say, “Father, in the Name of Jesus, may the sun be hidden in the midst of the clouds,” and it would go down. That is exercising dominion over the elements.

Have you ever read in the Bible about what Joshua did in Joshua 10:12-14? Joshua asked the sun and the moon to stand still for about a whole day. Everything stopped and the earth had an additional day. God hearkened to the voice of Joshua because he was fighting for the Lord.  “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand still upon Gibeon: and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies, is not this written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day”  Joshua 10:12-13.

Prayer.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the sun shall not smite me by day, neither the moon by night. I am daily preserved from all evil both me and my household. Amen.

1 Kings 17:1, James 5:17-18, Hebrews 2:7-8.

Doing the Word
Do not be afraid to exercise your authority over the elements for the glory of God.

JUNE our Month of Kingdom Authority

Dearly Beloved,

Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have received the mandate to provide a template of revival to the peoples of this world.

Grace and Peace be multiplied unto you abundantly from God the Father and from Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is a God of times and seasons. He seeks to achieve certain specific purposes or agendas in certain specific times. I have written at an earlier time that there are two words for time: kronos or Chronos which refers to “linear time as it relates to days, weeks, months or years.” But Kairos time refers to time as a specific period defined by a specific activity or happening. Kairos refers to the character of the times. Kairos is an appointed season, the set time for something to happen. It is a set time within God’s calendar where certain divine purposes are accentuated.

June is the sixth month of the year 2018, “Our Year of Shining.” God has done so much already. We have seen Him give us a TV Station of our own called, “New Vision TV.” He also guaranteed the success of many Ministry projects. We experienced the largest Fragrance of His Presence in March (We are having another in this Month; it shall be greater than the former). We have just concluded the Largest Teen Conference in the State (over two thousand five hundred teenagers attended and over six hundred and seventy four souls were saved). What more shall I say? The many successes of our Branch Churches, many outstanding miracles from brethren and viewers or listeners of TV and Radio Broadcasts.

We are expecting greater things in this new Month. Welcome to our Month of Kingdom Authority. God ordained us to rule and reign in Christ. We have dominion over the forces of wickedness in the earth.

By understanding and exercising our authority, we experience greater rest, victories, favorable outcomes and unstoppable progress. That’s God’s plan for you: A life of victory.

Take your place in the army of God and win. You have all it takes to experience victory in all life's fights. It's in you. You are more than a match for any challenge by reason of God in you. It's time to reign.

You will no more experience oppressions. You will break out on every side. You will achieve the previously impossible. You will dominate the evil forces around you in your sphere. You will rise. You will shine. You will prevail. Selah

Blessings,

DWF

What Is Authority?

A WORD IN DUE SEASON

What Is Authority?

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Luke 10:19(NKJV)

In this month's devotional, we are going to be studying on the authority of a believer. Our opening scripture shows us that God has given you authority if you a Christian.

Therefore, it is important for us to begin by defining what we mean by authority. What is authority? Authority is delegated influence or power. Authority can also be defined as the right to command or enforce obedience.

From the first definition of authority above, it is obvious that authority can be delegated from one person to another. Therefore what is delegation? To delegate is to entrust to another. To delegate means to deputize; which means to transfer power to someone by authorizing or empowering them to act on your behalf or make decisions on your behalf.

Our opening scripture therefore means that Jesus has delegated His power and influence to us so each Christian has the right to command and enforce obedience over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt him or her.

Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I have received authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Amen.

Mark 6:7, Luke 9:1, Luke 10:17.
