Guaranteed To Succeed

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves]. So Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him …” Genesis 12:2-4 (AMP)

The third character of a God-given vision is that it is a guaranteed path to success and significance. This means that when you follow God's vision you are destined to succeed. It has been said that man's plan has no guarantee of success and God's plan has no possibility of failure.
Man's plan may give you temporary success but if you want to have eternal significance then you must follow God's plan for your life. In God's plan for your life, greatness is inevitable.

There are many who want to be great, but you are not assured of greatness when you are only thinking of going your own way. It is choosing to go God's way that guarantees your greatness.

In our opening scripture we see that as Abraham followed God's plan for his life, he became great as God had said. So one of the reasons why many are broke and frustrated in life is because they are not following the plan God has for their lives.

When you are in God's perfect plan for your life, you have no worthy competition. You will be great, that means you will have enduring significance and timeless influence.

Instruction.
Please read 1 Chronicles 29:25 and 2 Chronicles 1:1 and ask God to magnify you exceedingly in the sight of all people and to take you to levels you have never been before.

For further study, read:
Psalm 33:11 (NIV), Proverbs 19:21 (NIV), Proverbs 21:30 (NIV), Isaiah 43:13 (MSG), Isaiah 46:10 (NLT).

Doing the Word
Have faith in God's plan for your life and begin to take the steps of faith He had asked you to take.

Exploring The History and Purpose of the Bible

Exploring The History and Purpose of the Bible

The Bible is the written revelation of God’s perfect will. It is an inspired book written by about forty authors (some say between thirty five to forty authors) over the space of one thousand five hundred years. Men from different backgrounds wrote under the inspiration and the influence of the Holy Spirit. See 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:16-21. The Bible has a common theme because it has one main author who expressed Himself through several writers. That main author is the Holy Spirit.

The word Bible is from the word “Biblos” which means “The book.” Originally it was called “Biblia” means “The Books.” It is a collection of sixty six books apportioned into two sections. One is called “The Old Testament” or “Old Covenant” consisting of thirty nine books and the second part is called “The New Testament” or “New Covenant” comprising of twenty seven books.

The Old Testament is called the Tanakh comprises of three sectors namely: The Law (The Torah) consisting of the first five Books written by Moses, The Prophets (Nevi’im) comprising of all the prophetic writings (Major Prophets and Minor Prophets) and the Writings (Ketuvm) consisting of the poetic and the historical books of the Old Testament. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew.

The New Testament is called ha Kaine Diatheke consisting of four canonical gospels, the Acts of Apostles, thirteen epistles written by the Apostle Paul, eight general epistles and the book of Revelation. The New Testament was written in Greek.

The Bible has outlasted those who were bent on eradicating it. It has transformed nations, built civilizations, preserved the dignity of human life, healed diseases and cured sicknesses, saved marriages, changed lives and defined generations. See Psalm 107:17-20; John 17:17-19; Hebrews 4:12-13; James 1:21-25;

The Bible is the RULE BOOK for all matters of faith and practice. Therefore, all visions, revelations and prophecies MUST be TESTED with God's Word because the Holy Spirit never violates the truth of God's Word. He confirms the Word.

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth which means He never violates the Word but affirms it. The Bible says, "It is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." (1 John 5:6c) The Bible also says that the Word is truth. (John 17:17b).

Therefore, if it is not consistent with God’s Word it is not truth because the Scripture is the standard of truth. See Daniel 10:21; Deuteronomy 32:4 NKJV; Psalm 31:5; Isaiah 65:16

The Holy Spirit will only guide you into all truth. This shows that the Holy Spirit will never lead us away from the Word of God. See John 16:13. All Scripture was given by the inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3:16. Holy men of old spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. See 2 Peter 1:20-21.

The Bible is the voice of the Spirit in print form. Remember what Peter the Apostle said in Acts 1:16, "And said, “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus."

The writings of Scripture are the thoughts and Words of the Spirit captured in print form. The next time you study the Word of God approach it differently. E. W. Kenyon put it this way, he said, "The Bible is God speaking to us."

The Bible is a Living Book. It is alive and active. It is full of power to change, transform or alter the situation or condition of any life when believed and acted upon.

The Bible is the written documentation of God's redemptive plan for humanity. It shows us the road to redemption. We can call it the written revelation of God’s redemptive plan. It is the documentation of the story of our redemption.

The Bible is also our written guide. It teaches us God's ways. It shows us how God thinks because it is God's thoughts captured on paper. Read it, Study it, MedItate it, Confess or Declare it, Live it. Let it guide your life and actions.

Let the Bible govern your speech. Make it final authority for all matters of faith and practice and you will open the door to a world of limitless possibilities and endless adventures of faith and exploits. See Hebrews 10:5-9; 2 Timothy 2:15; Psalm 40:9-10; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 Samuel 10:25; Deuteronomy 17:14-20

Bring God Glory

A Word In Due Season

Apostle David Wale Feso

Saturday, July 18th 2020

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Revelation 4:11

The second character of a God-given vision is that it brings glory to God. The essence of a God-given vision is to bring glory to God.

David had a vision to build God a house and he wanted to build a house that will bring glory to God. He said, “And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries …” 1 Chronicles 22:5.

God doesn't give you a vision for your personal aggrandizement, instead He gives you a vision that will glorify Him in your life.

Isaiah 49:3 says, “And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.” God wants to gain glory through your life. Isaiah 43:7 says, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”

Knowing that you were created for God's glory should make you want to learn how to bring glory to God. One of the ways you bring glory to God is by singing or praising Him in songs. Psalm 50:23 says, “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me …” There are more ways to glorify God other than singing.

Another way you glorify God is by doing what He asked you to do; fulfilling His plan and purpose for your life. Jesus said in John 17:4 (MSG) says, “I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do.”

Instruction.
Please read Psalm 63:1-2 and ask God to manifest His power and glory through your life wherever you go.

For further study, read:
Luke 4:18-19, John 2:1-11, Acts 10:38.

Doing the Word
Keep glorifying God by doing what He has called you to do.

Vision Preexisted You

“For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)

Your life had been predestined of God. This means that God planned your life beforehand. That is why God's vision for your life has to be revealed to you because it preexisted your birth. So you have to discover God's vision for your life.

For Nehemiah, God put the vision in his heart as seen in Nehemiah 2:12, “And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem …” God can put His vision for your life in your heart.

In Jeremiah 1:5 God told Jeremiah, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” This reveals to you that before you were born God knew you. Just like Jeremiah, before you were born, He had already decided what He wants to do with your life.

God's vision for your life preexisted your birth and because vision is a revelation of God's plan and purpose for your life, God’s vision for your life was your permission for entry into the earth.

With this understanding, I encourage you to work towards fulfilling that purpose because purpose is the permission for entry into the earth.

Instruction.
Please read 2 Chronicles 1:10 and ask God to give you specialized knowledge on how to fulfill your God-given vision.

For further study, read:
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), Acts 26:16-18, Galatians 1:15-16.

Doing the Word
Stick to the vision God has shown you concerning your life.

Vision Is God-given

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Genesis 12:1-3.

A vision is a revelation of God's perspective of your future. A vision is God's prescription of who you are based on your potential irrespective of your circumstances.

Now that we have seen several definitions of vision, I will like us to begin to examine from today the character of a God-given vision.

The first character of a God-given vision is that it is God-given. Vision is not man made. It is God-given. There is a difference between a vision and a dream. A dream is something you desire to be, do or have. A dream for the most part is personal and could also be selfish. A vision on the other hand is God given. That is why we defined vision as a revelation of God's redemptive plan and your role in it.

You do not create a vision, you discover a vision. It is revelational insight into God's plan and purpose for your life, family, organization, nation, etc. In many nations, they have no clue on what their purpose is. God has a vision for nations and until a nation understands her purpose for existence, there will be confusion there.

A God-given vision is a divine initiative. It is a revelation of your God-given assignment. It is not something you create by yourself, it is revealed to you by God.

Instruction.
Please read Genesis 12:3, 2 Samuel 7:29 and ask God to bless you and your family.

For further study, read:
Acts 26:16-19, Galatians 1:11-12, Ephesians 1:9-12.

Doing the Word
Give the Lord thanks for revealing His vision for your life to you.

Understanding Grace from God’s Perspective

Understanding Grace from God’s Perspective

Dearly Beloved,

Love Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have received the mandate to preach the Full Message of this New Life to the peoples of this world.

The Bible says “This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” May you have a cause to rejoice throughout today in Jesus Name, Amen.

Our focus today is on the subject of grace. Grace is one of the most misunderstood and misconstrued doctrines of the Bible. Yet it is one of the most important subjects it promotes.

What is grace? Grace is from the Word “Chen” or “Hen” in the Hebrew and the “Charis” in the Greek. Both words mean favor but they mean more than favor. Though favor is the most commonly used meaning. Let’s study together to see what grace means and implies from the Scriptures.

Firstly, grace is unmerited favor as demonstrated in Christ. Grace is the lavish demonstration of God’s goodness as expressed in Christ towards all men irrespective of age, gender, class, status or race. See John 1:17; 3:16; Romans 5:12-17. Grace is the unconditional demonstration of love and goodwill towards while we were yet undeserving. See Ephesians 2:1-9; Romans 5:8. G.R.A.C.E is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Grace is God’s willingness to use His Power and His resources for your benefit because of Christ and His vicarious work on the cross. See Romans 5:1-2 (AMP). Christ is grace personified. See Titus 2:11; 3:4-7.

Secondly. grace is ability. The Apostle paul speaks of the grace that is given unto him according to the effectual working of God’s Power that enabled him to be a minister. See Ephesians 3:7,8; Galatians 2:7-9. Grace, therefore, is the divine ability to do effortlessly what is humanly or naturally impossible. For instance, when you look at someone’s life and their accomplishment and you say, “That guy is graced.” You are saying that they are endowed with some special ability or something. That is another expression of grace in the Bible. Grace is a divine enablement for your God given assignment. See Romans 1:5; Acts 14:26; 15:40; 1 Corinthians 3:10; 15:10; 1 Peter 4:10-11.

Thirdly, grace is the divine empowerment to live above sin or to overcome sin. See Romans 6:14; Titus 2:11-14. The Law could not produce righteousness. In fact according to 1 Corinthians 15:56, “The strength of sin is the Law.” (KJV) But the English Standard Version (ESV) says, “The power of sin is the law.” Check it out yourself. Grace makes men righteous and empowers them to live right. True grace is NEVER a license to sin but an empowerment to live above sin. See Romans 6:15-22; 1 Corinthians 1:12 ESV.

Fourthly, Grace is also the outworking of the influence of God’s Spirit. Grace is the defining character of God’s work in a person or a Body or group of people. See Acts 4:33; 6:8; 11:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12. For instance, when you observe the work of God’s Spirit in the life of the Macedonian Church, Paul The Apostle calls it the grace of God. See 2 Corinthians 8:1-7. It is grace that makes men generous. It is called the grace of giving. It is also grace that makes us prayerful. See Zechariah 12:10. Grace, therefore, is the outworking of God’s Spirit or the outworking of the divine influence.

There’s more but we will stop here for today. Thanks for reading through this letter. May God cause His grace to abound towards you to put you over the challenges that each day brings. May His grace empower you to overcome your bad habits and your secret faults. And above all, may God’s grace overwhelm your life and make it a beautiful expression of the goodness of God. Selah

Blessings,

DWF

Find Your Life's Work

“No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”
Ephesians 2:10 (MSG)

From our opening scripture, it is obvious that God has a work for you to do; that is why He made you and saved you.

How do you find the work God wants you to do? You find that work by discovering God's vision for your life. In Proverbs 29:18, the Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” To live without a vision is like dying without knowing.

What is vision? A vision is a revelation of God's redemptive plan and your role in it. Vision is a redemptive revelation. It refers to a prophetic revelation. This is why Proverbs 29:18 in the New King James Version states thus, “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.” This proves that you cannot be disciplined until you have vision. When you lose sight of vision, you become undisciplined.

Catch God's vision for your life because the moment you capture God's vision for your life it will organize you. That is what has kept me consistent all these years. I am not doing ministry just to be doing ministry, there is a vision driving me. God told me to ‘set forth a standard’. In other words, He was telling me to become an example and a reference point. That is the reason I live my life the way I do. What about you? What is your vision? What drives you?

Instruction.
Please read Colossians 4:12 and ask God to cause you to stand perfect and complete in all His will for your life.

Get Rid Of Strife

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV)

If we are going to get the best results every time we pray then prayer must be prayed without strife in our hearts.

In Matthew 18:27-35, the Bible speaks of a man who was forgiven by His master of a large debt he owed, yet he refused to forgive a fellow servant like him who owed him far less than what he owed his master. He threw his fellow servant into prison until he paid that which he owed him. When this thing that this servant had done was told to his master, he was very angry with the servant that would not forgive and delivered him to the tormentors until he paid back everything he owed. This meant that he would be in torment because he refused to forgive. Jesus said, "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Matthew 18:35 (NKJV).

I want you to understand that holding bitterness and resentment against others is like swallowing poison and expecting your enemy to die. Let that bitterness go today because it can hinder you in your prayer life.

Prayer.
Dear Father, today in obedience to Your Word to me, I willingly and intentionally choose to forgive all who have wronged me. I let go of all bitterness and resentment from my heart and I choose to love others unconditionally just as You have loved me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 6:12, Mark 11:25-26, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:13.

Intentionally forgive all those you are holding bitterness and resentment against.
