Pray With Praise

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26.

Today I want you to know that if you want guaranteed answers to all your prayers then prayer and praise should go together.

In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites accompanied by those from Mount Seir, came to make war with Jehoshaphat king of Judah. When King Jehoshaphat heard the news, he was terrified and called for a solemn assembly of the whole nation. As the whole nation fasted and prayed before God, He spoke to them and gave them a strategy on how to go out against their enemies to battle.

The King went on to execute this divine strategy, *_“And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount
Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.”_* 2 Chronicles 20:21-22.

Therefore, I encourage you to pray with praise and you will see your prayers answered faster and all your enemies will be smitten before you.
