Pray According To The Word

“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”
Isaiah 43:26.

Another condition for answered prayer is that prayer must be according to the Word of God or His prophetic promise. If you want your prayer to be effective always, you cannot just say anything you want to say, you have to intentionally pray according to the Word of God.

In our opening scripture, God invites you to put Him in remembrance. How do you put Him in remembrance? It means that it must be something He already knows. So what do you do? Take with you words according to Hosea 14:2, “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.”_* When you pray, come with the Word and remind God of His Words concerning that which you are asking for. Remind Him of what He said concerning what you are praying about.

Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

From what you have learnt today, do not just pray because you are in need, or because you are suffering, or because it is difficult, or because you want it, pray with faith in the Word of God knowing that it is yours according to the Word of God.

Instruction.
Please read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 and ask God to bless you indeed and enlarge your territory.

For further study, read:
Genesis 32:9-12, Exodus 32:7-14, Numbers 23:19, Nehemiah 1:7-11, Isaiah 41:21, 1 Timothy 1:18.
