Align yourself with God’s plan 2.

“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” Hebrews 10:7(KJV)

Every time you make a choice towards a destination, you are separating yourself from something or identifying with something.

One day I was travelling and the Spirit of God began a dialogue with me, He said, “You are going to such and such a place?” And I answered, yes. Then He said, “Now the reason we are in this park is because of your purpose.” And I said, yes. He then said, “You are with these people now because of that purpose.” and I answered yes. Now, those people didn’t need to choose me to be there. So long as they were going to where they were going, we all had to be in that bus at that time together.

It is the same way with God’s purpose for your life. When you align yourself with God’s purpose, there are certain individuals that will have to associate with you because of that purpose. The reason we know anything about Lot in the Bible today was because Lot aligned himself with a man that was aligned with God’s redemptive plan and that man was Abraham.

What is important to you? Is it becoming popular in your village and becoming a Chief. Can you remember the name of the very first Chief of your village? They are all history now because they were not involved with God’s redemptive plan. They have been forgotten by the men they lived for. And after now when we go to the other side, some of them are just going to burn in the fires of hell as though they never lived.

As we conclude this month’s devotional, remember that the Bible is a revelation of God’s redemptive plan. It reveals to us who God is. So if you want to know more of God, and walk in the Power of the Word of God in your life consistently, you must learn to acknowledge the Word of God as a divine personality and align yourself with His redemptive plan.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for teaching me more about your Word in this month’s devotional. I ask that all that I've learnt in this month will cause me to be established in the Word of righteousness and cause me to walk in the Power of your Word every day of my life, in Jesus Name. Amen

Align yourself with God’s plan 1.

“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” Hebrews 10:7(KJV)

All through the Bible, you will see the redemptive message in all the under tones in the books. This is because the Bible is the book that reveals God’s redemptive plan.

That is why you do not see things like Abraham went up to brush and have his bath. The focus of the Bible is on God’s redemptive plan. And if you want to matter with God, it is important you align with God’s redemptive plan. This is because without aligning yourself with God’s redemptive plan, your life will be a wasted life. It will look as though you never lived.

For instance, Abraham in the Bible had a brother, but we do not know much about him because he was not involved with God’s redemptive plan. God’s redemptive plan is the dearest thing to His heart. My question to you today is this, “Are you involved with God’s redemptive plan?” Or are you just going about your own business doing your own thing? Or are you only thinking about how to get married and have children. There is more to life than all of that.

It is only those who have lived in line with God’s redemptive plan that will be celebrated. For instance, the Bible mentioned a man called Methuselah in Genesis 5:21. But we did not have anything to do with Methuselah other than he lived longer than Adam, he lived for nine hundred and sixty nine years almost a thousand years (Genesis 5:27). Yet all we have about him is a calendar of days. This is because he did not live in line with God’s redemptive plan.

But when you read of Noah, he is celebrated in the Bible even till today because he aligned himself with God’s instructions and God’s redemptive plan. Therefore, he cannot be forgotten.

Prayer
Dear Father, teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart unto your wisdom and the fulfillment of your purpose for my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

A documentation of divine utterance.

“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”   Galatians 1:11-12(KJV)

Fourteen centuries before the birth of Christ, that is one thousand five hundred years before Christ was born, the first book of the Bible was written by a man called Moses.

Moses wrote the book of Genesis according to the Bible. And the Bible attests that man was made on the sixth day. So if man was made on the sixth day, how do we know what happened between the first day and the fifth day? That tells me that the book of Genesis was written by someone who had divine revelation.

So, the book of Genesis is a revelation of the past. The Bible begins with a revelation and ends with a revelation. It begins with a revelation of the past and ends with a revelation of the future. Moses wrote the book of Genesis by revelation and gives us the account of creation. He could have only known that by the Holy Spirit.

Do you know that the Bible was written by about thirty six to forty authors, yet there is a harmony in the message of the Bible. When you read the whole Bible, (I will encourage you to read the whole Bible if you have not yet done so) you will discover that there is a Spirit behind the letters that gives a harmony of the message.

This is so because 2 Peter 1:20-21, lets us know that, “…no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” So the Bible was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Confession
I believe that the Bible is an accurate documentation of divine utterance. I believe that the Bible is infallible. I believe that the Bible is the Word of God in truth and I accept to live my life and pattern my thinking according to the Word of God revealed in the Bible.

Power in the Word

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16(KJV)

There is power in the Word of God. And every time you come to the Word of God, it is an appointment with the Holy Spirit. That time is an appointment with God to talk to you. This is important because until you start treating the Word of God that way, you will never walk in the power of God consistently.

Many people work in the power of God from time to time. It is not consistent in their lives. Some others work in the power of God only when they are in meetings. They do not see the Power of God in their homes because they have not learnt to walk with the Word of God.

The Word of God is a person because the Word of God is God Himself according to John 1:1. So you cannot separate God from His Word and the Word from God because they are one. Therefore until you start taking the Word of God as God talking to you, the Power in the Word will not be released in your life.

For instance, let’s say a Christian says, “I believe in healing.” But the Christian in question is sick and may even die of that sickness. You know why that happens? They only accept that the Word of God is true in their minds, and believe that it is written in the Word of God.  But they have not taken that Word as a personal Word from God to them concerning their health and well being. Therefore the Power in the Word cannot work in their lives. They are like those who just confess saying, “I believe God can do anything.” But they are never at rest; they are always worrying and wondering about how it will come to pass. They don’t really believe. They only mentally assent that the Word of God is true.

The moment you receive the Word of God as God talking to you, and you have an assurance knowing that if God said it, then it is true and it will surely come to pass. Your faith becomes spontaneous and ready to take a hold of what already belongs to you.

Confession
I am not ashamed of the Word of God because I know it is the Power of God for my salvation. Therefore I declare according to my faith that the Power of God’s Word keeps me in health, He keeps me in prosperity, He establishes my deliverance, He shields me from all harm and gives me victory in all spheres of life. Amen.

The Bible is anointed.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17(KJV)

Our opening scripture lets us know that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God. In other words, those who wrote the scriptures did it under the influence of the Holy Spirit while they wrote. That means that the Bible itself is anointed.

I have heard of atheist who read the Bible to try to disprove the Bible and got saved in the process. They were reading the Bible to find points to disprove the Bible and they got saved. I have heard of muslims who  read the Bible with the intent to disprove Christians and got saved. There is something about the Bible.

If you carry an encyclopedia and put it on a restaurant table nobody will look at you too much. But when you carry a big Bible and open it in a restaurant, you are going to stir up controversy. The Bible itself is so powerful, but as you read it, the power inside it is unleashed.

The fact that the Bible itself is powerful does not mean that you should carry it and put it under your pillow for protection. This is because the power of the Word of God is unleashed when the Word of God is in you and you believe it.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 says, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

The Wisdom of God

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory” 1 Corinthians 2:7(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that when we speak the wisdom of God, natural human folks
don’t understand us. The next thing we see from our opening scripture is that this wisdom of God is for our glory. In other words, the wisdom of God is for our benefit.

So, when we are speaking and living by the wisdom of God, the natural man doesn't understand us
neither does he know why we do what we do. For instance, he sees you remove ten percent of you
income to give and he asks you, “What are you doing?” And you let him know that you are giving
your tithe. He cannot understand why you have to give ten percent and not one percent. But that
same natural man does not see anything wrong in giving ten percent to a lawyer, or an estate gent.
But when it comes to God he is wondering why you have to give ten percent because he is ignorant
of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.

Ignorance is dangerous. The natural man doesn't understand that when you give your tithe, it
protects the ninety percent that you have left. But it does not only protect the ninety, it causes the
ninety to multiply. Yet he doesn't know because it is a mystery.

I heard of a man that lives on ten percent of his income and gives ninety percent away. He started by giving ten percent and he was flourishing but then he stopped. When he stopped tithing, he stopped flourishing. Then he went back and started giving ten percent again, from there he went to twenty percent and then he continued till he started giving ninety percent of his income and he became a very wealthy man, having patent rights to lots of things that we use in the world today. It happened because he was a tither; functioning by the wisdom of God.

Confession
I am a believer and not a doubter. I believe I receive the Spirit of wisdom to function in the mysteries
of the kingdom of heaven. I am prospering and flourishing by the wisdom of God I put to work in
my life today in Jesus Name.

Three kinds of wisdom.

“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of
the princes of this world, that come to nought” 1 Corinthians 2:6(KJV)

In our opening scripture, we see that there are three kinds of wisdom. First he says we speak
wisdom among the perfect; this wisdom refers to the wisdom of God. Secondly, we speak not the
wisdom of this world, so there is a wisdom of this world. Thirdly, we see that there is the wisdom of
the princes of this world.

Therefore, the three kinds of wisdom we see in our opening scripture are: the wisdom of God,
natural human wisdom and demonic wisdom. Those are the three kinds of wisdom.

The natural human wisdom tells you to save all you can and can all you get. And there are some
people who live their lives by such wisdom and they never give. They don’t even know what it
means to give an offering. This is because natural human wisdom says. “If you give it away, it is
gone away from you.” It is the wrong kind of wisdom. You are not to live your life by such wisdom
as a child of God.

There was a time I went to see someone and I saw a book on the leadership of the mafia and I
started reading it. When I read to a point in the book, I stopped reading it because I saw that it was
teaching the wisdom of the princes of this world. But yet, there are some Christians who will read
that kind of book on the leadership of the mafia and practice it in Church. Thus, bringing the practice
of demonic wisdom into the Church. So, it matters what you read because when you take in such
things into your spirit, they are spiritual poison and they contaminate your spirit making you
ineffective as a child of God.

Prayer
Dear Father, I receive strength from your Spirit in my inward man to be able to do what I should do
and refuse to do what I shouldn't do. I turn from my own way and I cease from my own wisdom.
Expose every seed of falsehood that has entered into my belief system in Jesus Name. Amen.

Ginosko the Word.

“… It is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven…”                                      Matthew 13:11(KJV)

From our opening scripture, it is obvious to us that God wants us to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of heaven.

The word ‘know’ in our opening scripture is the word ‘ginosko.’ Ginosko means to know, to
recognize, to understand completely. In other words, Jesus is saying that it has been given to you to understand completely the mysteries and the hidden truths of the kingdom of heaven.

The word ginosko also suggest a progression in knowledge. It refers to such knowledge that the
thing that is perceived and the person perceiving it are in union. It refers to knowing with the sense of realizing. Such knowing gives you insight into the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and God’s secrets.

In 1 Corinthians 12:1, the Bible says, “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” In other words, God does not want us to be ignorant of spiritual things. God hates
ignorance. This is because the only way you can get to fellowship with God and to know God is
through knowledge. Therefore, go for the knowledge of the Word of God.

Prioritize the Word of God.

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
”Proverbs 4:20-22(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that when you start making the Word of God a priority, your skin will be healthy. So if you have skin diseases it means that you are not giving the Word of God priority in your life. This is because the Word of God is medicine to your flesh. So your skin ought to be fresh as a child of God.

The Bible says in Psalm 107:20, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” This means that whenever you receive the Word of God, it will not only affect your skin but it can also heal you of any sickness and deliver you from every oppression of the devil in your life. In other words, the Word of God has healing and delivering power which will manifest in your life, if only you will give the Word of God the required attention.

When you attend to the Word of God, don’t let your mind wonder, but instead engage your whole heart and mind on the Word of God. When you study the Word of God, be there in your study. Pay attention. When you are listening to a message, be attentive. This is because the measure of attention you give to the Word of God, is what will determine what you will get out of that Word.

Prayer\
Dear Father, I turn my focus away from every distraction and I focus on your Word. As I do, may the divine life dominate me and bring health and healing to my being in Jesus Name, Amen.

Pay attention.

“Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Matthew 13:9(KJV)

Whenever Jesus makes the statement we see in our opening scripture, you know that He has something very important that He wants to tell us.

If you read in Revelations 2:7, Jesus said, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches …” From these utterances by Jesus, we can see that hearing from God is a choice. Because there are people who believe and make statements like, “if God wants me to hear His voice I will hear.” But Jesus says the opposite, “Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Therefore, hearing from God is a personal responsibility. If you are not hearing from God, you cannot blame
God because He says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”

Hearing from God requires focus. God is always talking, but not everyone is listening. The Word 'hear' is the word 'akouo' it means to give ear, to harken or hear. It refers to hearing with the intention to do what you hear. It also means hearing with the intent to act appropriately. In other words, the individual that is focused with the intent to do what he hears, is the individual God will talk to.

So, if you are not hearing God talk to you, I feel for you because there are a lot of things you are missing. This is because success in life is based on the rhema(God’s specific Word) to you, not just the written Word. The written Word(logos) has its place, but the rhema of God is important to you because it is directed specifically to you.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you because my ears are anointed to hear what you are saying to me today, in Jesus Name. Amen.

God’s recipe for success.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Psalm 1:1(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the man who is walking in the counsel of the ungodly is walking under the curse. And the moment a child of God starts walking in the counsel of the ungodly, the blessing stops working. So, it matters what you guide your life by and the philosophies which you imbibe.

Psalm 1:2-3 shows you what you should imbibe and how your life will eventually turn out, “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Therefore, delighting in receiving knowledge of the Word of God by studying, listening and meditating on the Word of God day and night is God's recipe for our success.

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge …” The word destroy in that verse could also mean to fail. That means failure is traceable to a lack of knowledge. Therefore, for you to prosper and be successful, you must have the right knowledge.

The Word of God gives you the right knowledge by letting you know how to prosper in every area of your life. First of all He tells you not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Then He tells you not to stand in the way of sinners; in other words, you ought not to follow the wrong examples of sinners. He goes on to say you should not sit in the seat of the scornful, in other words, He says do not join the company of mockers or those who do not acknowledge God. But the Word of God should be your meditation day and night.

You are preserved from falling.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”                                         1 Thessalonians 5:23(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we can see that man is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body. And God wants every part of your being to be preserved blameless unto His coming.

This means that your spirit, soul and body can be preserved blameless. The word preserve also means to be preserved from injury. That means you can live to the fullness of age without any part of your body malfunctioning.

The next verse which is 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” So be conscious of this truth that it is God’s will to preserve your spirit, soul and body. Amen.

Your spirit is the real you, because your spirit is the centre of life. So, if God is able to preserve your spirit, it means that you can be preserved from falling from the faith as a child of God. Jude 1:24 says, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” Also, the Bible also says in Romans 14:4 says, “Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.”

Therefore, since you now know that it is God’s will to keep you from falling, and to preserve you blameless in your spirit, soul and body. I will like to encourage you with the words of Paul the Apostle in Philippians 2:12-13, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

Be led from within.

“The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Proverbs 20:27 (KJV)

The Bible calls your spirit the candle of the Lord. And we know that we use a candle for seeing. This therefore means that as a child of God, God will guide you and enlighten you through your spirit. It is important you understand this because until you become spirit conscious as a believer, you will miss God and you may not fulfill your destiny.

If you are not spirit conscious; by being led by God’s Spirit, how would you know the voice of God? You probably might expect Him to speak to you through your dream, and God does not always speak through dreams.

In Jeremiah 23:28(CEV), God speaking to His Prophets made a comparison between their dreams and His Word. He said, “Their dreams and my truth are as different as straw and wheat…” In other words, God calls dreams straw and His Word which is truth; He calls wheat. He calls His Word wheat because the seed is the Word of God.

Therefore, load your spirit with the Word of God and be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit, because He will speak to you and guide you in line with the Word of God. So, when you hear the voice of God’s Spirit speaking to you or guiding you from your spirit in the way you should go, know that it is God guiding you and leading you.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for sanctifying my heart and making my spirit a sure guide to lead me in the way that I should go. God speaks in different ways.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,” Hebrews 1:1(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that God speaks to us in divers ways. In other words, God speaks to us in different ways. One of the ways He speaks to us like we see in the opening scripture is through His Prophets.

Reading through the Bible, you will see that God spoke to Pharaoh through his dreams and Joseph interpreted the dreams to reveal God’s plan for the future. Why did God speak to Pharaoh through his dreams? This was because he wasn’t someone brought up in spiritual things.

God does not always speak to us through His audible voice. For instance, God can talk to you through an inward impression. That is what the Bible calls an inward witness. We call this the perception of the human spirit. In 1 Corinthians 2:11 the Bible says, “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” So, God can guide you or speak to you from your spirit through the Holy Spirit that is in you as a child of God.

God speaks from the Bible.

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:”      2 Peter 1:19(KJV)

The Bible tells us in our opening scripture, that we have a more sure Word of prophecy. The word translated Word in this verse is ‘logos.’ The logos of God is the entire body of divine revelation. It refers to God’s thoughts and His thinking.

In John 1:1, the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It is revealed to us here that the Word of God is a person. Don’t approach the Word of God (Bible) in the same way you will approach a Chemistry text book or a newspaper. This is because every appointment with the scriptures is an appointment with God. Be conscious knowing that every time you read your Bible, God is going to talk to you.

The Word of God is a divine personality because according to John 1:1, the Word of God is God. John 1:3 says, “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” The Bible did not say all things were made by it, but rather the writer of the scripture under the influence and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says, “All things were made by him, emphasizing to us that the Word (logos) of God has a divine personality.

Therefore, every time you read the Word of God have the consciousness knowing that God is talking to you.

It’s time to grow.

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”                    1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)

From our opening scripture, it is obvious that Christian maturity is impossible without the Word of God, because it is the Word of God that will build you to the stage of maturity or perfection as a child of God.

If you do not give the Word of God its rightful place in your life, and feed on the Word of God by studying and hearing the Word of God consistently, you will only be a religious Christian, but you will not grow into maturity in Christ.

Spiritual maturity is measured by how much the Word of God has dominated your life; your thinking, your actions, your decisions, your words, etc. Christian maturity is not determined by how long you’ve been in church or how long you’ve been saved.

There are a lot of people who think that they are mature spiritually because they have been born again for the past thirty years. No, that is not what it means to be spiritually mature. It is the level at which the Word of God has dominated you, that is what determines your level of spiritual maturity.

Prayer
Dear Father, I pray that I may be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that I may walk worthy of you, pleasing you in every way, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of you and strengthened with all might in my inward man, in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Bible is God’s book.

“… Write this for a memorial in a book …” Exodus 17:14(KJV)

The Bible accurately explains our origin, our reason for being and our destiny. The Bible is God’s book. It is God’s way of expressing Himself in the way that man can understand.

The Bible is the conclusive revelation of God. Everything you need to know about God is in the Bible. There is sufficient information in the Bible about every relevant subject that you want to discuss.

The Bible is a very important document. It is God speaking for Himself. It is God’s personal testimony given by the Holy Spirit through men inspired by God to accurately document His thoughts, His opinions about the subject matter under discussion.

The next time there is a question in your heart about any issue; go to the Bible and let God talk to you through His Word. The Bible is God’s voice in written form. Read it every day and you will hear God talking to you. Selah

Prayer
Dear Father I believe that the Bible is your voice in written form. Today; I ask that as I study your Word, anoint my ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to me today from your Word in Jesus Name. Amen

The Bible is absolute truth 2.

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Peter 1:20-21(KJV)

The Bible is not the opinionated documentation of questionable men. The Bible says in our opening scripture that the writers of the scriptures were holy men. If the scriptures were not written from private interpretation as the Bible says in 2 Peter 1:20, it therefore means that the scriptures are not the opinions of men.
The Bible is not the opinionated documentation of questionable men but holy men wrote the scriptures as moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Bible is God’s accurate opinion about everything. The Bible is God’s opinion that is why we should always let scripture interpret scripture. By so doing, we are allowing God to speak for Himself.
Accept the Bible as the truth and the teachings it contains as absolute truth. The Bible is a written revelation of God’s progressive plan of redemption consummated by Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

The central theme of the Bible is God’s redemptive plan. The Bible is not a history book, though it contains some historically accurate information. Its focus is on God’s redemptive plan to bless all men through the seed of Abraham.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Bible that daily reveals to me the truth about you, the redemptive work of Christ and my identity in you as your child. Help me to walk in the reality of this truth and grow in the perfection of Christ everyday of my life, in Jesus Name, Amen.

The Bible is absolute truth 1.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 (KJV)

I remember someone said an atheist came to him and said, “There is no absolute truth.” Then he answered the atheist, “If there is no absolute truth, then what you’ve said is the truth, and if what you’ve said is the truth, then there is absolute truth.” The atheist became confused.
I found out that there are getting more scientific evidence of the proof of the fact that the earth was created.

This authenticates that the Bible is absolute truth. I saw a program on television and the man was analyzing the scientific evidence to prove that time and space and matter came into being suddenly, moreso, he said that it came into being out of nothing. Now they have proof that the earth came into being out of nothing.
In Genesis 1:1, the Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” The Hebrew word for create is the word ‘bara’ which means, to create out of nothing. Then it is true the earth was created according to the Bible.

If the scientists have been able to prove that time, space and matter was created suddenly out of nothing, then it further validates the authenticity of the Bible that; the earth was created by God.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you because your Word has brought truth to my spirit. I humbly accept that by your Spirit and the Power of your Word, you created this world. To you alone belong all might, dominion and power everlasting. In Jesus Name. Amen

What is the Bible? 1

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17(KJV)

The word scripture in our opening scripture is the word ‘graphe’ in the Greek. It refers to something that is written or a writing. Therefore, we can say that the Bible is a written documentation of divine utterance. It’s a revelation of God’s perspective about everything. The Bible is the accurate revelation of God, His personality, His character, and His plan for redemption for all people. The Bible is the progressive revelation of God’s redemptive plan. It is the objective revelation of all that God is, His intentions, and His program for man.

Without the Bible, there will be no accurate way of determining what is true. This is because if we were left on our own to determine what is true, you will have your own opinion and I will have mine own opinion of truth. But God has not left us to ourselves; He gave us a written document to determine truth.

The Bible is that written document God has given us to determine accurate truth. Not our opinions, or science, nor the conclusions of men. The Bible is absolute truth.

Confession
I believe that the Bible is the conclusive revelation of God. I accept that the Bible is God’s perspective on everything and the authentic document in determining truth. I accept what the Bible teaches as absolute truth for governing my life everyday. Amen.

God’s Word is true

“For what if some did not believe? Surely their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar…” Romans 3:3-4, (EMTV).

From our opening scripture, we see that God’s Word is true. Therefore, for you to be able to do the Word of God, you must accept the Word of God as true. So, having that conviction that God’s Word is true will produce in you the willingness to act upon the Word because you know that the Lord has said in Jeremiah 1:12, “… I will hasten my word to perform it.”

Mary like we saw in Luke 1:45 accepted the Word of God to be true in her life and she conceived and bore Jesus. The Roman Centurion in Matthew 8:8 said to Jesus, “…speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”  He understood the sufficiency and the power in the Word of God. So, when Jesus spoke the Word in Mathew 8:13 saying, “… Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. … his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.” He believed the Word of God, he accepted it as true and the Word of Jesus produced results, and his servant was healed.

In John 4:49, a nobleman came to Jesus demanding that he comes to heal his son that was sick, but Jesus spoke back to him in John 4:50, “Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.” The man believed and accepted the Word of Jesus as true, asking no questions and he went back home with the assurance of the Word in his heart. And the Bible says in John 4:51-53, “And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.”

Confession
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore, I believe and I accept all His Word that He has spoken concerning me already in His Word. I believe that His Words are producing in my life and circumstances what they talk about right now in Jesus Name.

Understanding faith.

“That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”                Mark 4:12(KJV)

If you want to move from hearing the Word of God to doing the Word of God, you must understand what you are being taught. This is because if you lack understanding of the Word of God, there will be no faith in your heart. Faith is based on clarity and accurate truth. So, when I understand the Word of God, faith is ministered to me.

You must understand that as a child of God, when you speak any word of faith, it kills anything from the root. For instance, if you are sick in your body and you use drugs, you are only treating the symptoms; you are not treating the cause. But when you use the Word of God against that challenge, you are dealing with the root cause of the problem. The Word of God has the ability to destroy every kind of sickness and disease and it destroys every work of the devil.

It took Abraham twenty five years to have a child that he could have had in one year. It took Abraham that long for his faith to take a hold of what God had already given him. When Mary in Luke 1:35 and 38 released her faith according to the Word of God spoken to her from the angel Gabriel, immediately she conceived. She said in Luke 1:38, “…be it unto me according to thy word …” She understood the sufficiency of God. She asked initially in Luke 1:34, “…How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? ...” and the angel answered and said to her in Luke 1:35, “… The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” That is the same answer God gives to everyone who is asking, “How shall these things be?”

Just believe the Word of God and there shall be a performance of those things which have been spoken to you by the Lord according to Luke 1:45.

Prayer
Dear Father I thank you for giving me understanding of your Word to the dynamics of faith and what to do in other to put the Word of God to work in my life, as I practically release my faith and take a hold of what you have already given unto me in your Word, it shall be unto me according to your Word in Jesus Name. Amen.

Power in the Word

“The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)

A Pastor’s daughter was dying and he asked his wife to take her to the hospital. Then, he went to his office to look for scriptures to find out who is really in control of death and he found out that satan has been defeated, and Jesus has the power over death.

So, he wrote four scriptures and sent it to his daughter instructing that they read it to her while she was on the dying bed. When they read the scriptures to her, she came back to life again. Since then she has been alive, and today she is a grown woman.

Some other person’s would have just given up saying maybe it was God’s will to take her. That’s ignorance. A lot of Christians today are unaware of this. They are unaware that you can change things by the Word of God. Instead, they make statements like, “The day God wants things to change, it will change.” They say, “One day it will change.” When is that one day? That is unfounded hope.

Do you know that hope doesn’t change anything? It is faith that changes things, not hope. Hope says, “One day it will change.”  But faith says, “It has changed.” Because according to Romans 4:17, faith calls those things that be not as though they were. So, a lot of Christians are functioning in hope and then they are wondering why in their lives they do not have a testimony of faith.

Therefore, if you are going to begin to change things and produce testimonies of faith in your life, you must begin to put the Word of God to work in your life by, acting on it and talking like it inspite of your circumstances because the Word of God is sure to produce what it talks about in your life.

Confession
The Word of God is Yea and Amen in my life. I hold on to the fidelity of your Word in my life because I believe that your Word is more real to me than what I perceive in my senses. I am who the Word says I am, I have what the Word says I have and I can do what the Word says I can do. Amen

Your faith is your victory.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”                         Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

Do you know that all those things that happened to Job in the Bible was for only six months. Those long standing challenges we read about in the Bible all took place within six months. And within six months, he came out of it.

Many years ago, I use to think that the time it takes to solve a problem, shows how difficult that problem is. But God corrected my thinking and said, “The time it takes to solve a problem is dependent on your faith.” So the duration of the problem is dependent on my faith and not how strong the problem is.

Jesus raised Lazarus that has been dead for four days in one moment. Why? It was His faith. He didn’t need to pray for six hours and then after six hours, declare that Lazarus should rise up. So if it took someone else six hours of praying to produce results, it just means that it took that long for his faith to be activated to release a rhema to produce results.

Not spending time in the Word of God, studying and listening to the Word will only delay the growth of your faith and your effectiveness and ability to produce results by the Word of God. So, instead of complaining and wondering why that problem or challenge is still lingering, keep building your faith in the Word of God, for our faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

Confession
I am born of God, and according to the scriptures, whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world, this is the victory that overcomes the world even my faith. Therefore I declare that I have overcome this world because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Practice what you hear.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”                                   James 1:22 (KJV)

The Word of God is for living. You are to put the Word of God to work in your life. That is why I always have testimonies, because to say I don’t have testimonies will be a denial of the validity of the Word of God.

Authentic Christianity is living in the realm of God’s Word. And when you are living in that realm then you will always have a testimony.

If you don’t do the Word of God that you know, it brings judgment. This is because, when you get knowledge of the Word of God, the enemy will seek to contradict the Word you have heard. So immediately you hear the Word of God, do it. Put the Word of God to work in your life because what you do is what you remember the most.

Your life is a revelation of the Word of God you've believed. So for someone to say I don’t have a testimony, it means that God is not doing anything in his life. And if God is not doing anything in your life, it means that you’re not believing for anything.

When you hear the Word of God on any subject, practice what you hear. Find an opportunity to put that Word to work in your life. Life will always throw you an opportunity based on what you hear. So when you hear a message, find an area of your life, to put the Word of God to work.

Remember James 1:25 says, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you that your Word which I have received is fruitful and productive in my life. I am enabled by your Word and your Spirit to practice the Word of God daily in Jesus Name. Amen.

Stir up joy

“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”     John 15:11(KJV)

From our opening scripture we see from the words of the Lord Jesus, that He wants His joy to remain in us.
When His joy remains; abides and dwells in us, it is an indicator that we are strong spiritually. This is because when you lose your joy, you will lose your strength and when you lose your strength, you will faint in battle.

The Bible says in Proverbs 24:10, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” So you need joy in your life as a child of God because that is what will keep you strong and help you maintain and sustain your victory in Christ in times of distress or when trouble comes against you.

So how do you stir up the joy of the Lord that is already in your spirit as a child of God? Spend time praying in other tongues and also spend time reading and hearing the Word of God and you will have joy flowing in your life, because the Word of God produces joy.

Prayer
Dear Father I ask that your Word stir up your joy in my heart today. May that joy flow in my heart and cause me to walk in the strength of the Spirit throughout my day. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Be full of Joy 2.

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”     Psalm 16:11(KJV)

If your life is going to be filled with joy, then you must have a vital relationship with the Lord. One way for you to cultivate such a strong relationship with the Lord is through His Word and His Spirit.
The Bible says in Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace …” This is because when you discover God loves you, you will be happy and you will have joy. There will be an exuberance of your spirit.

Joy is not based on your condition. It doesn’t matter what you may be going through, you can still have joy as a child of God. This is why the Apostle Paul could write to the Philippians from prison saying, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4. So, joy is from your spirit. So I will encourage you to begin spending time with the Word of God, for as you do it will minister joy to your spirit, and when there is joy, there will be strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 says, “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Joy in your spirit is an indicator of spiritual health. Have you noticed that when you are angry about one thing it affects every other thing? For instance, let’s assume somebody offends you from outside, if you lack self control you will transfer that same aggression to your family members at the slightest provocation when you get home.

Therefore, fill your life with the Word of God, and let God’s joy dominate your life.

Confession
The joy of the Lord is my strength. I refuse to consider any negative circumstance, word or feeling to steal my joy. But instead I allow the Word of God and the joy of the Lord in my spirit to dominate me; producing strength in my spirit and a graceful countenance outwardly. Amen.

Be full of Joy 1.

“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1:4(KJV)

From our opening scripture, the Apostle John is letting us know that the Word of God that has been written to us ought to make our joy full and complete. So if you are a person who is not always happy, and you are struggling with depression, you need to spend more time with the Word of God because it is the Word of God that will take you out of that depression. Someone said that the rich has figured out that money is not what brings joy. Money may bring you happiness but money will not bring you joy.

A believer may be complaining saying, “I don’t just know why I am not happy.” Ask him, “Have you spent time with the Word of God today?” Joy is the exuberance of the human spirit. This is why the scriptures say in Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” And the Holy Ghost is in your spirit as a child of God. Therefore, as long as you have consistent fellowship with the Holy Spirit, there will be joy in your life.

John 17:13, “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” Jesus is saying that His Word will make us filled with His joy.  Joy is one of the indicators of spiritual health. So if you want to know if you are healthy spiritually, you’ve got to have joy in your spirit.

Prayer
Dear Father I thank you for the ministry of Your Word in my life that has filled me with joy in the Holy Ghost. I cast down every spirit of heaviness and depression. Thank you Father for my joy is fulfilled in you in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Ministry of the Word of God.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” John 17:17(KJV)

The word of God has a ministry just as the Holy Spirit has a ministry. When I say ministry, I mean service. In otherwords, the word of God has a job which He does in you, just as the Holy Ghost has something that He does in you.

Therefore, if you don’t know what the Word of God does in you when you hear it, then you will not know how to retain what it has done. Jesus said in our opening scripture, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” In otherwords, Jesus was saying, separate them, consecrate them through thy word. Therefore one of the ministries of the Word of God in you is to consecrate you. There are a lot of believers, who are struggling to live the Christian life because they are not spending time with the Word of God.

Others are praying and asking, “Oh God give me joy, oh God give me peace.” This is because a lot of people do not know that if you spend time with the Word of God, you will have joy. John 15:11 says, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” This means that what you hear will affect your joy. What you hear can determine how you feel. So, words determine feelings.

Also, spending time with the Word of God will increase your peace because the Word of God is the gospel of peace. Acts 10:36(ALT) says, “The word which He sent to the sons [and daughters] of Israel, proclaiming the Gospel of peace through Jesus Christ-this One is Lord of all”

Today, take advantage of the ministry of the Word of God in your life and let the Word consecrate and sanctify you, give you joy and fill your life with peace.

Confession
Dear Father, I thank you that as I daily yield myself to the ministry of Your Word everyday, my heart is consecrated and sanctified by Your Word. My life is filled with Your joy and peace even in a troubled world. Amen.
