“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature
the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law
unto themselves” Romans 2:14 (KJV)
From the above
scripture we see that even though God did not give the Gentiles the law,
they knew what was right and what was wrong and they could
differentiate between both. Why? The consciousness of God is in every
man.
Now some one may come to ask and say; “Pastor since you know
you are going to get married to the person you are dating, is it a sin
if you begin to sleep with yourselves?” Now, for you to ask that
question it means you already know that it is wrong, but you want to
suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
Some one else may ask; “Pastor is it right for a man to marry two
wives? You know the bible talks about David marrying many wives and
Solomon married many wives”. The bible says from the beginning, it was
not so. When God made Adam, it was not Adam and Eves. It was Adam and
Eve. (Genesis 2:21-24)
The bible says they did by nature the
things contained in the law. That tells us there is a message in nature.
Every one knows what is wrong within them.” They know that stealing is
wrong, without the law telling them that it is wrong.”
This lets
us know that the law has been written in our hearts. (Romans 2:15) That
is why your conscience convicts you when you do wrong. When you stole
your conscience convicted you because the law is written in your heart.
If we will become sincere with ourselves, living right will become easy.
Stop making an excuse for not living right. If you are struggling,
examine yourself; what kind of books do you read, what kind of movies do
you watch, and what kind of people do you hang around with? If you
would make the necessary adjustments, you will see the changes. The
bible says, “evil communications corrupt good manners” (1 Corinthians
15:33). So read the right books, be careful about the movies you watch;
because those movies are your teachers; they are trying to communicate
an ideology to you. You also have to listen to Godly music because
listening to worldly music would stir up the wrong passions inside you.
So
guard your heart, because what goes into your heart is what you will
think about, and what you think about is what you will desire.
