THE TRUE LIGHT

“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
John 1:9 (KJV)

From our opening scripture we can see that every one is born with a consciousness of God inside of them. That is why when you do wrong you are pricked by your conscience.

At one time the Jews felt they had a monopoly of God, because they were the only ones that knew God.
And of a truth they were the only once that had an accurate knowledge of God more than any other religion in the world. But I want to remind you that there was a man named Jethro who was the father in- law of Moses. The bible called him a Priest of God. When the children of Israel left Egypt and Jethro went to meet them, the bible says; when Moses told him the story of how God delivered them from Egypt, he said: now I know that the Lord is God. (Exodus 18:8-12)

In other words, Jethro had a greater revelation that the God he was serving and worshipping was truly the God of the whole earth. From this we can see that there is the knowledge of God in every man's heart, even though they may not know how to reach Him. For instance, there are people thinking that the way to reach God is by killing an animal in order to make a sacrifice. No. That's wrong. You are not going to reach God that way today.

Some others feel that they are going to reach God by their good works. So they do good works so that they can reach God. No. You can't reach God just by doing good works. Some others think that by joining a cult or a group they would be able to attain to Christ hood that way. No. That's also wrong. You will never reach God that way. So many have tried to reach God in these ways and have failed and remained empty because they do not know how to reach Him. So their search continues. Why? It is because there is a God shaped vacuum in every man's heart.

I was amazed when one of the greatest musicians in the world was talking and said; none of you know how dark, lonely and empty I feel inside. In the midst of his popularity he was still empty. Why? Every one is born with that God shaped vacuum. Nothing else can fill it but God. Not your popularity, or money, or pleasure. Nothing else can fill it but God. Don't trade your relationship with God for anything else. (Matthew 16:26).

PRAYER

Father, I want to thank you for saving me and bringing me out of the darkness of the world. I thank you for my heart is fille with you, and the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name. Amen.
