Make the right choices

Thursday, January 14th

Make the right choices.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: …” Deuteronomy 30:19-20

God may have a great destiny for you, but getting there is totally your responsibility. He has chosen you and decided a destiny for you, but He does not make the choices for you. So, it is the choices you make that determine if you will fulfill the destiny that God has decided for you or not.

Your decision is what eventually determines your destiny and your decision is the product of the information that you have. So, if you start getting the Word of God into your heart and mind, you will eventually begin to make the right decisions.

It has been said that the quality of a man's life is the product of the decisions that he makes. Your destiny is the sum total of all your decisions. Solomon was exposed to quality information by his father David so when he had an encounter with God and was given the opportunity to ask for whatever he wanted, he made the right choice and asked for wisdom. See what God said to him in 2 Chronicles 1:11-12(GNB), “You have made the right choice. Instead of asking for wealth or treasure or fame or the death of your enemies or even for long life for yourself, you have asked for wisdom and knowledge so that you can rule my people, over whom I have made you king. I will give you wisdom and knowledge. And in addition, I will give you more wealth, treasure, and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again.” One right decision he made brought with it every other good thing.

Instruction.
Please read Ephesians 1:17 and pray that prayer for yourself today.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 2:1-6, Proverbs 3:13-18, Proverbs 4:3-9.

Doing the Word.
Prioritize the Word of God because the Word of God is the wisdom of God.
