Do you tithe?

Wednesday, January  20th
Do you tithe?

“But Melchisedech, the king of Salem, bringing forth bread and wine, for he was the priest of the most high God, Blessed him, and said: Blessed be Abram by the most high God, who created heaven and earth. And blessed be the most high God, by whose protection, the enemies are in thy hands. And he gave him the tithes of all.”
Genesis 14:18-20(DRB)

Today I want you to know that you do not need to experience the ordeals others have experienced because of failure on their part in following the principles of the kingdom of God. Now that you are a Christian, you cannot continue to live your life by the values and principles of the world. There are principles of the kingdom to live by. Learn them and follow them strictly with convictions.

One of such principles is tithing. Do you tithe? Your tithe is ten percent of your income; it belongs to God not to you. Choosing to give your tithe is putting God first in your finances. I know what it means to experience an ordeal because of failure to follow the principle of tithing.

There is an experience of life called 'the college of hard knocks. You do not have to go through it before you learn to begin to do the right things. I recommend that you go through 'the college of information.’

Matthew 6:24 says, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Do not serve greed, but instead, let mammon bow to God by your choosing to tithe.

Confession
I am a believer and not a doubter; therefore, as I practice the principles of the kingdom especially in tithing, I declare according to the Word of the Lord in Malachi 3:11-12, the devourer is rebuked for my sake, he shall not destroy the fruits of my ground; neither shall my vine cast her fruit before the time in the field. All nations shall call me blessed: for I shall be a delightsome land. Amen.

Doing the Word
Put God first in your finances by tithing.
