Jesus is Lord

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9(NIV)

The word ‘Lord’ in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'kurios' referring to 'a sovereign,' 'supreme in authority,' 'the owner,' 'the master,' 'the Lord of the estate.' So if you confess that Jesus is Lord, you are declaring that He is sovereign, supreme in authority, the owner, the master and Lord of the whole world, then you shall be saved, and to be saved is to be born again.

The question I will like to ask you today is this; “are you born again?” If you are born again, it means that you are saved, and if you are saved, it also means that you have been rescued and delivered from the authority and jurisdiction of satan. This is why it is important for you to be born again because if you are not born again, you are rebelling against Jesus who is the King of the earth.

The Bible shows us in Revelation 1:5 that Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth. In Psalm 24:1, the Bible says, “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” This means that the whole earth belongs to God; every land, every country, including all the resources and minerals that the earth contains, with all the people who live in it. Since all the people on earth belongs to God those of them who are not born again and have not submitted themselves to the Lordship of Jesus are rebelling against the authority of Jesus who is the Prince of the kings of the earth.

This teaching gives you the understanding that being born again is not just a religious practice but it is submitting yourself to the authority of the Prince of the kings of the earth and entering into the kingdom of God.

CONFESSION
I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I am saved. I have been delivered from the power of darkness and I am under the authority and the jurisdiction of Jesus. Therefore I rule and I reign in this life over the kingdom of darkness in Jesus Name. Amen.
