Are you faithful?

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?”
Matthew 24:45(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that if the Lord is going to make you a ruler over His household, there are requirements. That requirement is for you to be faithful and wise. In other words, your faithfulness is a proof of your wisdom.

Therefore, your influence over God's household is tied to your faithfulness and your wisdom. What does it mean to be faithful? To be faithful means to be dependable, reliable and to be trustworthy.

This is because people will follow you to the measure that they trust you. Trust is your greatest commodity in leadership. You may have a great vision but if the people do not trust you they will not follow you.

Faithfulness also refers to consistency of character. That is doing the right thing at the right time. But doing the right thing at the right time is also wisdom. So you see that if you are faithful, it is a proof of wisdom. The Bible calls you a faithful and a wise servant.

So if you want to know if you are wise, the first thing is for you to ask yourself, “Am I faithful to God?” “Am I faithful to doing the right thing at the right time?” “Am I consistent in my character as a child of God and to integrity?” “Am I dependable, reliable and trustworthy?”

Your sincere answer to those questions above is a proof of your wisdom and how much you have allowed the wisdom of God to dominate you.
