Faith is substance.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Hebrews 11:1

Faith gives substance. When I did a check on the word substance, it refers to a support. For instance, the reason why a building stands without collapsing is because it has a foundation. That is what your faith does for you. Your faith gives you the support you require to stand in the midst of all life's storms. This is why the Bible instructs us in 2 Corinthians 1:24 to stand by faith.

The word substance in our opening scripture also means confidence, assurance, etc. In other words, we can define faith as being confident of what you hope for. And hope refers to what you expect. It is what you desire or your dream. Your hope is anything you desire to be, do or have. Hope also refers to the earnest expectation of good; it is the joyful expectation of a favorable outcome.

Assuming you are believing God for money. As a man or woman functioning by faith, your faith ought to make you confident of what you hope for. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. This means that it is the Word of God that makes you confident that you will get what you hope

for.

There may be no human explanation as to how the money will come. But you are to stand on the Word of God according to Philippians 4:19 which says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." That means that your needs or demands will be met in spite of your salary. Therefore, even if you were not paid, God says that, He is going to supply your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. You will then notice that God will begin to move on the hearts of people to give to you. But such confidence is only going to come to you from the Word of God because that is the basis for our confidence.

Confession.

Dear Father, your Word is my foundation. I choose to stand on the Word above every contrary evidence. I lay hold on my prosperity, my healing and divine health, with every victory that you have given me in Christ Jesus. Amen.
