Check your motive

“But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.”
1 Thessalonians 2:4(KJV)

According to our opening scripture, I want you to be aware that for everything you do in the kingdom of God, God trieth your heart. In other words, God tests your motive for doing what you do in the house of God.

Why do you do what you do in the house of God? Do you do what you do for eye service, so that the Pastor will see you and praise you? The praise of men should not be your motivation for what you do in the house of God. Let your motivation be that you are working for the Lord. It doesn't matter who sees you or who thanks you for your service in God's house. You will definitely not lose your reward. God sees in secret and He will reward you openly according to Matthew 6:6.

The Bible says in Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I selflessly consecrate myself to doing your will. Therefore, may my acts of love and my service in your house be acceptable to you always in Jesus Name. Amen.

Nehemiah 5:19, Psalm 20:3, Acts 10:4.

DOING THE WORD
Continue doing your acts of love and service in God's house knowing that your service to God will not go unrewarded.
