You are responsible for what you become.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8(KJV)

From our opening scripture, God made Joshua know that he was responsible for what he becomes. He clearly gave Joshua what he needed to do to be successful and prosperous. God told him; keep the word of God in your mouth, speak the word of God and meditate on it day and night and practice what the word of God teaches. By those instructions God made it clear that every man’s success is his responsibility.

Therefore, you must take full responsibility for where you are. Don’t just say, “Oh I am from a poor family that is why I can’t make it.” 80% of world’s richest men are from poor and average families. So, if you’re from a poor family, you have 80% likelihood of becoming rich if you prepare for success.

So, no matter the circumstances that you are going through right now, you must accept full responsibility for where you are, otherwise you are not going to succeed. This is because until we are willing to take responsibility for where we are, we won’t take the initiative and responsibility to make progress. Zig Ziglar said, “A man is no failure unless he is able to blame someone else for where he is.” So if you begin to blame other people like your parents, your friends, etc. for where you are today, then you are not ready to make progress from where you are.

As long as you do not change from thinking like a victim, you will be stock where you are because Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he …” So the success you desire begins inside of you.

Prayer
Dear Father, I take full responsibility for where I am today. I submit my heart to your wisdom and the ability of your spirit to empower me to be able to take the necessary steps for my progress and success in Jesus Name. Amen.

Doing the word
And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.
