Your road map for success 2

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15(KJV)

There is a company called YTL headed by Francis Yeoh. He is an ethnic Chinese in Malaysia, but he is a Christian. Francis Yeoh’s father was involved in a construction business and he wanted to join his father when he was about sixteen years of age. But his father refused to allow him join him but instead sent him to England to study Civil Engineering. After graduating from school and studying engineering, he took over the business of his father when he was twenty four years of age.

Today, that business YTL is the largest conglomerate in Malaysia. Why? It is because he prepared for success. He went to school to study Civil Engineering. Today he and his company is pioneering 4G in Malaysia. So Malaysia has the best and most developed 4G in the world. Francis Yeoh was asked one time in an interview, “why are you doing all these things?” He answered and said, “Because we are stewards of the future.”

Proverbs 30:25 says, “The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer” This also emphasis the importance of preparation. Preparation is also important because Ecclesiastes 9:11 says, “…that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” In other words, people are not poor because of lack of resources, but they are poor because of the lack of preparation. This is because time and chance comes to us all. But will your opportunity meet you prepared?

A man can be a graduate and be grounded in poverty if he is not able to take advantage of his opportunity when it comes. Having a plan will help position you to be able to take advantage of your time and opportunity when it comes. So, make your plans today because the future belongs to those who prepare for it.

Prayer
Dear Father I ask that you help me not to miss my timing when it comes. Help me to be sensitive and able to identify and seize my opportunity when it comes. In your mercy I ask that you position me in such a way that my opportunity will meet me prepared in Jesus Name. Amen.
