Sow seed of Love 3

“Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church--a love marked by giving, not getting.”
Ephesians 5:25(MSG)

From our opening scripture, it is obvious that as a husband, your love for your wife should be self sacrificing. This is because God expects us to love our wives just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for it.

Therefore, whenever she offends you, don't become bitter against her. Instead, see her weaknesses as an opportunity to sow seeds of love into her life. So, if she comes to you afterwards, with a list of all the things she needs to buy, don't see it as an opportunity to accuse her and make her feel bad. Give her the money she has asked for, and even more if you can.

Remember that when you ask the Father for something, the Bible tells us in James 1:5, that God gives to you liberally, without upbraiding you, in other words, without fault finding or rebuke. So give to your wife liberally knowing that when you love your wife, or anyone unconditionally, God will surely reward you for it.

Conditional love is not love at all. In a Christian marriage, love is unconditional. Be good to your wife and talk to her well no matter what she may have done.

In 1 Peter 3:7, the Bible says, “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”
