Activate your faith

“…what matters is faith that works through love.” Galatians 5:6(GNB)

From our opening scripture, the Bible lets us know that our faith as sons and daughters of God, works through love. The International Standard Version puts it this way, “What matters is faith that is active through love.”

This shows us that, the reason why the faith of some believers is not active, is because they have not come to understand the role of love in activating their faith for the manifestation of the results of the Word of God they desire to see in their lives.

The Bible says in James 2:13(MSG), “For if you refuse to act kindly, you can hardly expect to be treated kindly…” This proves to us that our expectations are governed by our attitude. In other words, if you are a person who finds it very difficult to forgive others, you will find it very difficult as well to receive forgiveness from God when you need it.

Also, if you are a very selfish person that does not show any concern for others and their needs, because you don't believe you should give anything free to anybody, you also, will find it very difficult to believe that God will meet your needs, neither will you trust in the favour of God, because you believe you have to pay for everything, and struggle through life.

Some people complain, saying, “nobody ever gives anything to me, nobody loves me, and I have never experienced favour.” Instead of complaining, check your love life. When last did you willingly do something good for others because of the love of God? Are you quick to forgive? Amend your ways today, and you will discover that your faith will become active to receive from God.
