Balanced Christianity

Saturday, March 19th
Balanced Christianity.

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29

Every step away from the scriptures is a step into error. Balanced Christianity is knowing the scriptures and the power of God. You are not balanced if all you know is the Word and you do not demonstrate the power of God and vice versa.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:19-20, “But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” The Word of God always comes with power.

This is why whenever you teach the Word of God, God always confirms His Word with signs following. Mark 16:20 says, “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” So if there is no Word, God has nothing to confirm.

Therefore, if you believe the message of God's saving grace as well as forgiveness that has been coming to you daily in this devotional, God will confirm His message in your life with miraculous signs, amazing things, other powerful acts, etc. according to Hebrews 2:1-4(GW) “For this reason we must pay closer attention to what we have heard. Then we won't drift away from the truth. After all, the message that the angels brought was reliable, and every violation and act of disobedience was properly punished. So how will we escape punishment if we reject the important message, the message that God saved us? First, the Lord told this saving message. Then those who heard him confirmed that message. God verified what they said through miraculous signs, amazing things, other powerful acts, and with other gifts from the Holy Spirit as he wanted.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I believe that you saved me. Therefore, I thank you for Your Word is confirmed in my life with miraculous signs, amazing things, other powerful acts, and with other gifts from the Holy Spirit in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
Always expect God to confirm His Word with signs following.
