Personal hygiene.

Tuesday, November 15th.
Personal hygiene.

“Set up a place outside the camp to be used as a toilet area. And make sure that you have a small shovel in your equipment. When you go out to the toilet area, use the shovel to dig a hole. Then, after you relieve yourself, bury the waste in the hole. You must keep your camp clean of filthy and disgusting things. The LORD is always present in your camp, ready to rescue you and give you victory over your enemies. But if he sees something disgusting in your camp, he may turn around and leave.”
Deuteronomy 23:12-14(CEV)

In maintaining a healthy lifestyle, your personal hygiene must become important to you. You are a steward of your body. Your body is an instrument in the earth. So, you have to care for it so it can function properly and effectively for a long time.

Personal hygiene is much more than wearing a deodorant. You must also learn to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing properly because the freshness of your breath is the ambassador of your words.

Also, bathe properly, preferably twice a day because of the heat and the sweat that may have accumulated on your skin throughout the day, this will prevent skin diseases and body odour.

Wash your clothes. Do not continue wearing your clothes over and over again without laundering them. Preferably wear your clothing once before washing them. These personal hygiene habits would help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, ward off illness and help you feel good about yourself.

It is also important to wash your hands often especially before and while preparing food, before eating, after using the bathroom, after handling garbage, etc. as this will help keep your hands free from bacteria and germs.

Confession.
Dear Father, I choose to commit to taking proper care of the body you gave me and to present my body to You as a living sacrifice pure and holy as my reasonable service. Amen.
