The law of hunger.

Sunday, March 19th.
The law of hunger.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Matthew 5:6

The law of hunger teaches that to be able to hear from God consistently you must have a hunger in your heart. If you are finding it difficult to hear or be guided by God's Spirit, the question I will like to ask you is this: are you hungry to hear from God? Are you hungry for another level in God? Are you hungry for the deeper things of God? Or are you satisfied with where you are?

Isaiah 55:1 says, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” God is saying come to the waters, if you have no money, come, buy and eat. How will you be able to buy wine and milk without money and without price? You buy with your thirst. Your hunger gives you access to these things.

Therefore in the realm of the spirit, hunger and thirst is currency. There are certain things God will not put into your hands until you hunger for them. You have to press into the deep things of God by your hunger. God will only give you what you value and we pursue only what we value. I encourage you to stir up your hunger for more in God. John G. Lake had such a hunger and he said to God, “I am going to give You a hundredfold obedience I want a hundredfold of Your power.” The intensity of your hunger for God is what decides the measure of your impact. Scholars say that the Apostle Paul lived for just fifty-six years and we cannot forget Paul's work till today. He was a man who had a deep hunger for God. Have a hunger to go beyond the usual. Have a hunger to go beyond the norm because there is more in God and He wants us to press into it.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask for grace to give You a hundredfold obedience in adherence to Your Word and instructions to me always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Doing the Word.
Nurture your hunger by being quick to do the Word you have heard already.
