“Is any thing too hard for the Lord? …”
Genesis 18:14a.
Faith is anchored in the ability of God. When you know that God can do anything, you will become bold, courageous and confident in your demands.
Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:”
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” This means that nobody can imagine anything that is too big for God to do.
Faith is also anchored in the love of God. You have to know that God loves you for your faith to work. Galatians 5:6 lets us know that faith works by love. When you know God loves you, your faith is stirred. This knowledge of God's love for you also gives you confidence and boldness to make demands.
When you know you are loved you are empowered. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” When you come to God on the grounds of grace and mercy, you cannot be refused.
Therefore, I encourage you to have faith in the ability and love of God towards you.
