Stop Complaining

“And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.”
Numbers 11:1.

Complaining and murmuring can hinder your progress in life. Most of the successful people I have studied both secular and religious all had a common trend; they had an attitude of gratitude.

Complaining is actually a sign of ingratitude. Also, ingratitude is always an expression of pride because proud people are always ungrateful.

If you feel you didn't get what you wanted or that the condition you are in isn't good enough, always remember that it could have been worse so maintain a grateful attitude no matter where you are today. Whatever you are grateful for, God increases and whatever you complain about diminishes.

Don't complain because complaining displeases God according to our opening scripture. What pleases God? Faith. The Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him:” Hebrews 11:6a. So, instead of complaining, express your faith in God and His Word by giving Him thanks not complains. This is important because when God is pleased favour will be released.

Instruction.
Read Psalm 96 in praise to God and thank Him wholeheartedly for His faithfulness.

Doing the Word
Take out a pen and paper and write down all the things you can remember that you can be grateful to God for this year. Don't forget to show gratitude even for the things that seem small.
